Fine if you live in the country, but you might have to burn the dining table if you live in a town

Yes, wood would generate energy for distilling process, but to get substance to be distilled you need to buy some sugar, and from 1kg of sugar you can get roughly 0.5l of fuel. Means that 1l of home-made fuel can cost up to 2 EUR per liter..... easier to buy normal fuel at the gas-station and burn it.

Woodgas is one of them things I'd like to try with my POSgen generator, just to see how easy (or not) it is, plenty videos on youtube of people making their own wood gasifiers that then feeding the gas into the engine, perfect project for putting together in a garage or workshop...

I would but I haven't learned about it fully just yet, so, I'd just recommend to google it...
