Good list with a lot of info in it, looks like it took a bit of time to put together William.

However.....
This would be a list for those in the general area of William-1, they would not be the same for all locations, the further you get from the center of the footprint for that transponder the weaker it will be, that is unless the transponder has a global footprint.

Most of these are strong enough to be picked up anywhere in Europe. The majority of the beams are European coverage - or greater. The only ones that might be problematic due to reduced coverage outside western Europe are are Astra 2E 28E & Astra 1KR 19E

Anyone further afield is always most welcome to post their observations to help folk in their area.

Good idea on the other observations, if those with similar equipment (or close to it) could post some "S" measurements from those transponders and satellites on the list we could do an average.

The bigger the input the better the average.

Interesting, how do you find the tuner on Octagon SX88 compared to TM? Is it good for weak sats?

There is not much in it I have been testing these 4 satellite receivers with the 100cm Gibertini + Inverto Black Ultra over the last few weeks:-

A4K Combo
SX-88
TM5502HD
TM6902HD Combo

My favorite is the TM5502HD as I can wipe out the data base for the feed satellites 16east,10east.7 east ect then Blind scan a clean data base very quickly some high powered transponders over load with this set up,

2nd is the SX-88 as I can fine tune the USALS to get the best signal very handy after high winds have move the dish slightly works better with IBU Lnb,

3rd is the TM6902HD good overall performance just a pain when editing the database if you do not delete dead transponders for best Blind scan it is best to remove all except one transponder on a feed satellite this prevents overwriting data & missed transponders,

4th the A4K the control system on this Linux leaves a lot to be desired very good for weak signals,

They all performed well on the weakest transponders so no clear winner here.

Agreed...........................one of the least sensitive tuners I found to be was the former Dreambox DM7000.............but the receiver did 'OPEN' up 'a new world' of the hobby for me.

While the Octagon SX88 is a very good receiver however it would be a better guide to signal quality if it was in dB % like the Dr HD & TM5400 M3,
The SX88 gives me lots of SQ=100% that display the correct SQ on the TM6902HD,

The list below is a good example of this when you compare this chart with the one that I compiled in post #6 of this thread for the SX88 with 88cm dish:-

William. I noticed that you replaced 1ZAHID at 3.9 West with Tippmix in the second list, but back to 1Z in the lastest one. Tippmix is the only one I can get in Ireland. It is on the Pan European beam, which is the most favourable for UK and Ireland.

Yes but you said the test card has no signal? I'm getting all the other channels on it but no test card.
