TBS 6925 PCi Card with hardware blind scan in DVB-S2 and DVB-S

16E is no go on the Prof, not sure where it bottoms out but it found that 825 SR feed on 66E last week, checking 16E using Crazyscan produced nothing, not even a bump in the noise or a recognisable constellation pattern. According to another forum the Prof driver won't support any SR below 1000 so I emailed Prof to find out if it was possible to update that, some emails later this was the answer 'Apart from the specialized and amateur radio transponder SR below 1000 does not happen and for DVB cards SR 1000 a hardware limitation with the bottom'. They wouldn't even accept their card already works below 1000 or that there was a need for it so I gave up trying. << Love that emoticon

My shop beckons ...need to open up ..
I can see the bump in the scan (crazyscan) ...but can't get a lock ..so no data that way ..
But as I said already ...dvbviewer scanned it in no probs (when details input manually ..single freq scan)...and scarily ...occasional breakthrough audio ...but its rare ...and usually when the channel is first selected ..

Hardware issue with the rev 2 ..?

Managed to get Dvbviewer to scan JoeFM in no probs ...
But no audio at all ..
Is it on air atm ?

Yes,right now I listen to the JoeFM radio.If you do not always get signal then that player's response time is longer.And is normally for this kind of low sr.Tuner must narrow band so much that sometimes is a problem to lock signal.For this reason scanning each frequency of 1 MHz step not always give good results.That's why we have to rescan each transponder.Also we must keep in mind that different areas of the reception signal is not the same throughout the day.
The same problem{lock signal}is also for the frequency from 11068,11069,11071,11072.11073, all with 334 sr and horizontal pol,with the exception of 11,070, which has 796 sr.I managed to lock the signal at 767 / 8.

I have not Prof card,but also according to other forums, it follows that Prof7500 can lock signal less than 1000 ks.,even of 334 sr!!!Look here:here
With TBS 6925 card you can receive and lock low sr!

I can find JoeFM using Transedit -> DVBViewer, and also lock it in TBS Recorder, but no luck with Crazyscan, it's below an acceptible signal level to show anything worthwhile in the Monitor.

Audio comes in five second bursts, never a consistent stream.

Currently not sending audio but I've got 100%NL ! and Arrow Jazz FM on 11072 and 11073 H 333 in DVBViewer

Got one more but can't lock the Dutch PSB stations

I can hear audio in and out like Llew but also what looks something very similar to RDS coming up in I've never seen DVBViewer do that before!

If I stream out from DVBViewer to VLC I can play the transport stream fine!

I am recording Radio 538 to get an ident I'll put that up soon.

If I look at how small is the signal,I am not surprised.But I do not know if BSOD is because of this, but certainly a signal to limit give the problems.Now it depends on what driver version you have installed?
Compare your signal with mine on this frequency,11072 H,sr.334,1/2:

It's fine now mate, doing to many things at once, no problems can get audio to work on Radio 538 sometimes it wants to tune SlamFM too.

I already have most of these stations on Astra 1 on my media centre or online so it's more I want to see if I can tune them

Thanks for that Satesco, there's also a thread on Ricks Backhaul forum that contains a post from Crazycat, basically a modified dev file for the 7301 with direct hardware control for use with Alt DVB. I installed v2.2 along with CCs file and it does indeed lock these low SR signals! The other issue is a problem loading the graph files so so far I've not been able to view any video channels (I'm not entirely sure it's happy running on W7 64b) but the audio works and I've been listening to Radio 538 :-righton Interesting post on your link about the later 6925 drivers not being so good on low SRs.

I'm using Dscaler as the decoders, FFDshow for postprocessors and VMR9.

Yep just select a different audio codec, ffdshow audio didn't like it, now audio comes out fine in DVBviewer no need for VLC now.

Yeah I'm happy with my new Technomate 5402 HD CI+ too, in a few years the tech in the TBS 6925 will be available in sat boxes I expect.

Also is the Dutch Public stations on 11070 H 795 are there, I guess I'm on the limit of reception on the few I can get:

100% NL on 11072 H 333 - Clear audio
Arrow Jazz on 11073 H 333 - Clear audio
Canadian Forces Network on 12678 H 333
