Right you are!. I had been unable to get anything there recently but bumping the dish a bit got the signal back. The video hangs/freezes occasionally and the audio is sometimes garbled but thats the way it was before when I was getting it.
Its a strange thing, I get lots of signal..about 11.5dB but it acts like I'm just on the border of losing it. Occasionally I get a value in BER in CrazyScan. I assume it is the ACM/VCM switching back and forth.
dx qwer, do you get this as a strong viewable station or does it have the problems I mentinoned above?

for what its worth ...like you ...thats all I ever got ..
Never a solid lock ...and I assume it would remain the same if I managed to get the fox video stream again ..
I assume the fact that I currently don't is down to the reduced signal level I'm receiving atm..
Edgar on the other hand has access to his monster BUD ...so he may 'see' things a little differently ..though I doubt it.
that A32PSK is atill an unknown quantity imo ...and requires extra 'lock' info either extracted from the stream itself ...or more likely sent seperately via internet..
ie ..feedback to lock the loop.
at least thats what I believe is happening.
Looking forward to the day ...when we have a better understanding of A32psk AVCM

Did you read my previous thread titled 'more out of curiosity than anything' ...
??
Just wondered if you had any info on this subject ..since I know this variation on dvb was used in the states and Canada..

Hello starman345,

I have same "problems" as you mentioned above. With my other pc-card (OMICOM S2 PCI) it was impossible for me to get/lock any videostreams in ACM Mode with TransEdit.

There are much more channels on different satellites using ACM Mode, but I need >250KBps Datarate to lock those streams. Signalquality looks most pretty about 12-18dB, but Datarate on TransEdit is very low with only 5-30KBps! I don´t know why? I think the low Datarate is one problem...

Sorry about my bad english!

Best Regards
qwer.

Here's a blind scan I did on Eutelsat W2A 10E using BLScan with the TBS 6925.

Time taken as shown in the Report file was ~642s, a little over 10 minutes. TP's checked were without the 9E frequencies to clutter up the results. I have no other hardware blind scan capabilities, so I don't have any means to check whether the time taken was good or otherwise.

It found a 16APSK feed, also an NBC_QPSK channel, not sure what flavour that is?

I'm using a WIN7 x64 OS.

False detection of modulation on :
TP N: 17
Frequency: 11154.540 Mhz
Symbol rate: 1635 KS
Polarization: Horizontal
Spectrum: Normal
Standard/Modulation: DVB-S/QPSK
FEC: 5/6
RollOff: 0.35
RF-Level: -42 dBm
Signal/Noise: 11.5 dB
Carrier width: 2.208 Mhz

TransEdit can only handle TS (transport stream). A GSE stream is missing the TS structure (188bytes starting with sync byte 0x47). If 0x47 occurs in the stream, Transedit tries to sync and outputs fake ts_packets. If you analyse the same stream with tsreader you will only see sync errors and a no bit rate.

You can capture the GSE with TBSRecorder in frame mode and then use any appropriate tool including a hex analyzer to find out what was transmitted ;)

TTV works with DVBViewer Pro, DVBDream, and I guess with several other DVB players. But (big but) it constantly suffers from discontinuities, thus it is not easily watchable. Btw, TTV's audio is too low, is it only here?

is this channel still working? i have no signal, today checked first time this tp, thanks

Yes, works on 32 and 64 bit OS of WIN7, all editions.

Put some info in your system profile, 'aha' is not helpful.

Shouldn't have any problem with DVB-S QPSK. Is that from my TP list, and there anything on that frequency now?

I`m thinking about TBS5925 and TBS 6925. What is better choice for your oppinion? Maybe 6925 is most stable and hardware is much persistent for damages after long time using....I have bad experience with Technisat SkyStar USB cards (almost every edition), for example, maybe TBS is more better? Thanks

If your PC has a PC(e) express slot, the TBS6925 would be a good choice.

If you want the TBS5925 USB version, there is now support for the Crazyscan blind scan support for this, check the TBS website _http://www.tbsdtv.com/

What is better to buy, TBS 5925 or 6925? I need trouble-free equipment, probably 6925 is trusty choice for a long years using. I have bad experience with USB cards in years, for example Technisat`s products, I don`t know..maybe TBS 5925 is safe for example for heating after hours of using, etc.?

What is better choice to buy, TBS 5925 or 6925? For a long time of using probably small receiver like TBS 5925 is not good for example because overheating? I have bad experience with some dvb cards, for example almost all Technisat usb versions, but probably TBS maked high quality equipment...? Also, 5925 is problem-free about crashing dvb aplication and windows restarts, with receiving of some modulations or HD transmissions, etc.? If 6925 is much reliably about all I will buy him...

PS. Buydvb.net shipping at the weekends also?

I don't have a 5925, so I can't offer a comparison with the 6925. I'm not sure if any member here has one either. I think the 6925 is better supported at present with third party software; have a look over at the Tbsdtv forum, also Rick's site at _http://rickcaylor.websitetoolbox.com/ in the Computer and USB Satellite Receivers and Recording section.

Don't know if Buydvb ship at weekends, but they are very quick to send your order when they recieve it.

One important question.

Can I connect TBS 6925 to this mainboard? Only one PCIeX 16x slot is not free because connected graphic card, but I have 2x pci-e

I dont need free PCIex 16x slot for TBS 6925?

That'll be fine for the TBS6925 card, it uses a 2x PCIe slot.
