Testing New White Sky UK Card - CAID 963

If you don't want to wait the "up to 24 hours" for the signal to be sent by sky, you can get the card repaired by doing a "New Installation" from the original sly box, and letting it do a callback.
Just go into Settings and press 401 then select to access the installer menu and follow what I said above. Card will be working in less than 10 mins....

jst99, I have no information about the pairing issue, it does seem strange that this should happen to some and not others. Is it possible that the card is not in use for some time to cause this problem perhaps ?

As for your blockers, you should have GA set to yes for the method to work in the first place. Without this its well known that the picture will freeze frequently due to GA emm flooding.

I did try the new installation method and it made no difference, it phoned home but still got the error, about 10 minutes after I got off the phone to them the box phoned home again but still took a number of hours before the picture came back. Will see what happens over the next month or so once the card goes back into the omnikey reader.

I am using a Reelbox Avantgarde and it took me two days to get NewCS 1.67 running with my blue card. I used CCcam on its own before, worked perfectly. But I have received the white card, so I needed to change everything.
My blue card is running now. So I will place it into th digibox, so I can activate the white one. Hope it will work.

These are my settings, could you please check them - since I do have freezing issues now and then, Especially the blocking settings.

At the moment I am using internal phoenix reader, also have smargo - but no luck, so I gave up.
I used your Box key generator, to check if the box key I had created was right - it was. But had I found your app earlier, that would have made things easier.

Just did the changover and my white card is working perfectly using NewCs 1.67.

My entitlements are ok till mid october.

NewCS is not supposed to be updating Entitlements, from what I read, is this true?

I am using these settings:

Ok guys a little info. With this thread getting quite long now it seems people are not reading it properly. It was suggested that the emm flooding problem with the new card was only caused by GA emm's and therefore some people including myself changed the blocker settings to reflect this, as shown below.

So the only blocks where on GA and Fake emm's.
It was suggested that this may allow an entitlement update. From what I can see THIS IS NOT THE CASE.

My old 961 card is now showing entitlements well into october yet my 0963 card has been at Sept.16 for a while now.
Don't expect the card to reach the date it shows before it updates, it should and has always updated well before the listed date.
Also, don't take it for granted that 0961 will last until the date it shows, they could switch it off tomorrow. Although I doubt it just yet.

I'll give the 0963 card another week then I'll put it in the sly box and give it an hour. I'll then return to newcs and check entitlements.

I have got a 0963 card in newcs. My entitlements in newcs stated end of september; however after about 2 weeks I put my card back into my digibox and it wouldnt clear a sport channel. I than went through the new installation and the channel cleared. I put the card back into the 500s and my entitlements now state october.

These are my settings:

I assume the default operation of newcs is to blockc0 ?

No mate as stated in my last post it seems the blocker settings make no difference at all to the entitlement update on the card.

I think i will keep putting it in my sly box overnight every couple of weeks.

The only other thing is for me to fix is to get my 500s to prefer my 0963 local rather than 0961 and 0963 remote!

Its more stable if i use the local card for the channels that i can clear myself.

I need the 0963 and 0961 remote for just sultana and yankee sports :-)

I didnt have this problem when using ccam alone...

dont use new white card,or a sky italia card,in the external usb card reader for the dreambox,when the clock freqency is wrong,and to hight the card will burn up,and is usless after that,does the dreambox 800 also write his own camcrypt key to the new white card or does i have problems,when the card first was in the hd box?

Turok, I'm not sure whether you're asking a question or making a statement sorry. I use both of those cards in external USB readers and they run great. The Dreambox will not pair with a white sly card, it must be done in the original receiver.

a friend,killed a sky italia card,running in a external card reader with 6 mhz,with lower freqency it should work,but iam unsure,at the moment,about the diffrent usb card readers for the dreambox,what clock freqency the realy suported!

if i rember right,you can converting the hex serial key very easy go to the menu where you see your serial number set 0000 infront of the serial ,then convert it to hexdecimal,this should be then,your box cam crypt key!
but how it looks at the moment,it sounds for me,when i read this topic,that this box crypt key,for dreambox not needed,when this receiver,makes no verification of it?

Turok, I would have to agree. Based on the testing I've done myself, neither of those cards seem to respond to overclocking anyway. Running them at 3.58 or 6 mhz makes no difference to the ECM time. I wouldn't recommend overclocking them at all.

globopl, use my NDS Box Key converter. It will handle your 10 characters. You can find it here in the Dreambox General section.

hi i have had a good read as i am a little out of touch lol..im about to try new card and have set up new cs 166 file no bother .question is i would like to set up manually myself and i want my peers to show as hop 1 .. in cc cam i the server will create n lines with user pass etc and the 01 to 14 etc ..and the peers will have to be be changed to f from c line i asume .only change outside the lan. quastion do i put dummy lines 01 to 14 after every n line user pass or not in cc cam config ...like i say ive not been takeing much notice but its time now to exchange and i d like to know the basics manually thanks , as ive never used new cs lol ..and im looking forward to using the creator etc ,, many thanks for any advice cheers ..
