superb thats just what I want to do I have debian at the mo and it is superb but would like to have a go at Ubuntu. this one it will be brill.

Just got myself 2 omnikey readers for £7.50, and have revived an old tower pc that was in a cupboard. Ill need to have a few days reading up on linux now lol.

Its an AMD Athlon 2400(2ghz) with a gig of ram, will this do the job?

a wonderful piece of information ,have been following B16MCC around since he started doing this, have allmost finished as well only problem i have is
the instalation of the drivers for linux tut he put up is in german (which i dont speak soz)
and the palce to get the drivers is down when i first read this i was on onmikey site but never downloaded the drivers at the time (lol i know am i twa* lol)but well done to B16MCC your a god m8 :-worship:-worship

Does the Omnikey 3121 also work with the blue card and cccam? I still haven't got my white card yet. Just wondering if i can put this card reader to good use right away.

Had a play with my newcs settings. Got the 0963 card running a little better

Blockga stops the card being flooded with EMM's, i'm led to believe that the card will AU with these settings though can't confirm yet. This is with my TM500, card is luke warm. I might even try pushing it up to 600mhz maybe.

k0103707 :- The omnikey is a PCSC reader, CCcam does not support this.

Rick1980, thats exactly how mine is running mate, I'm waiting to see an entitlement update too.

Dunno if I put the wrong details into your newcs.xml generator then because it set the config slightly differantly.

Sky uk freezes with newcs + cccam +white card

I have newcs 1.66 + cccam 2.11 + dm500s + white sky uk card running on latest pli jade dm500s.

Its not a signal issue. Card is local in single slot in dm500s.

Prior to adding newcs to my setup cccam own its own worked fine with the blue card.

I get occasional freezes, which last approximately 5 - 10 seconds. The frequency of occurance varies.

The card is activated, and clears sports channels. My peers can see the card ok as well, but both my peers and myself freeze. I have two peers who can access my card via cccam.

Here's my newcs.xml - I appreciate any advice.

I've read through this thread but can't find an answer to this.

I have newcs 1.66 + cccam 2.11 + dm500s + white sky uk card running on latest pli jade dm500s with an internal card reader.

I am getting intermittent picture freezing. Its not a signal issue - I've swapped it to a 90cm dish, SNR is 90% and BER is 0. I'm in the UK so the signal is coming through loud and clear ! The card is local in the single slot in a dm500s.

I would appreciate any help or guidance on what to change. I have uploaded the newcs.xml (added .txt for use on the forum).

Try the setting above that I posted, mine is running almost flawlessly. Think I'm gonna try pushing the speed to 600mhz

@B16MCC is this your newcs settings using your internal reader or on your server?

My entitlements are valid till september, so I won't know until then.

The settings I posted above are for the internal reader on my TM500
