All my Tring 3pm channels are off air, screen shows - system update required. Does anyone else have this or could it be down to the card supplier?

All four Tring channels that show football on Saturday afternoon are down today, they are just showing the test card as in the attachment above. All the other Tring channels are working as normal.

It is obvious that the UK supplier of the EPL feed has pulled the plug on the Saturday 3pm matches to Tring. All the other broadcasters that show the 3pms are showing the matches as advertised, only Tring has been affected.

Latest update for Sunday - Newcastle Chelsea was on - but no Spurs Liverpool, just the same test card as yesterday.

I can't find any other broadcaster affected by this problem, so it seems a specific attack on Tring.

Yeah I've just checked, same as yesterday. He said yesterday (in terrible English) that they had a problem with the uplink and it was all sorted. It would appear not!

The weather may have had some influence. It was typical in the past for certain cold related conditions to play hell with UHF and SHF links.

So much for the latest technology. :-per

The lies abut BT's terrible customer service having something to do with it and coordinates seem far too far fetched though! And the fact that they use the same feeds for 3pm Saturday and 4pm Sunday but a different one for 1pm Sunday just doesn't make sense.

More on this story. Tring Sports News was showing a complete re-run of the Spurs vs Liverpool match on Monday 29 Nov 2010 in ¾ screen mode. This wasn't edited highlights, but the full match with with a match time clock.

So they obtained the full original feed from somewhere.

It may have been retransmitted for them, or sent by fibre, or via some net protocol.

My good friend who's uncle is a satellite guy said that Tring will start working again soon with a new card and system set up. They are Albanian so I don't know what to make about it. The guy know his stuff to be fair so maybe it's true.
