Sorry, I should have written it a bit more clearly, my F15 only sometimes crashes. Other times it's very good. ;) (Using the latest patch - haven't tried any others)

It's not a Linux box AS, so needs to go in the 'ordinary' HD receiver section.

For HD channels change vpids:

BBC HD: instead of 0x17d5 use 0x57d5
BBC One HD: 0x19c9 - 0x59c9
ITV1 HD: 0x1839 - 0x5839
Channel 4 HD: 0x189d -0x589d

I had similar case with TM-6900 and such substitution helped.

It works great but my problem is stv hd and s4chd. They both don't work.
my data in editor (clarke tech editor) are ;
stvhd Vpid 22885 0x5965 (on receiver 6501 ) Apid 14694(2) 0x3936 (on receiver 6502 ) PPid 8191
s4chd Vpid 22785 0x5901( on receiver 6401 ) Apid 14594(3) 0x3902 (on receiver 6402 ) PPid 8191

By the way, I scanned the transporder and there are some new channels ( the space, 301hd, 302, BBC Alba, BBCRedbutton, Fatsci) or I am wrong? We don't have pids and pmt for them.

You don't need the pids or pmts as you can figure out the correct value yourself easily.

I don't have mentioned above either and as far as I know none of my colleagues do.

I don't think I can PM you as you are a new member but I bought my F15 from Ireland on eBay. In Helsinki 27.5W is OK on a 70cm dish although not sure if there's much room for rain fade. 90cm would be safer. It's also quite low on the horizon so you need a clear view to the west - an offset dish actually looks like it is pointing "down".

I get it here in Sweden nicely about 9dB SNR with a Fibo 55cm dish, this was the number 1 hotspot back in the 80's with premium channels for cable-tv networks in the UK, remember i had my 1.8m dish and received Premiere, Childrens Channel, Screen Sport, CNN etc...

I'm getting it at about 7.6-7.8dB with a no name 70cm in Helsinki with clear skies. If it goes below 6.6dB the picture is gone.

I too had a 1.8m in Helsinki back in the early 90s for BBC TV Europe, FilmNet, Wire TV, BFBS Radio and SuperGold...

Edit: Incidentally, this satellite has an elevation of only 8.9° at my location according to Dishpointer.com

Wonder if these are being used as relay feeds for the various transmitters across the UK? Or for non-uk broadcasters who carry UK channels (Some DTV providers in mainland Europe carry BBC1 / other UK channels)

llew/anyone else in the UK - Could you comment on whether these feeds on 27.5w are ahead of BBC1 through Freeview? If they were feeds for the transmitters you would expect them to be about 3 seconds ahead of BBC freeview since the DVB-T broadcasts on freeview are buffered by this margin. A stopwatch should tell you the answer -would be interested to know.

So nobody has correct data (pids, pmt) for STVhd, S4chd that are working on receivers like technomete, drhd ? I have tried some and figuring out was unsuccessful.

On my setup, BBC1 (Sandy Heath) is ~0.5 seconds behind the BBC Mux 27.5W transmission. Other channels have a similar lag.

Comparison made with DR.HD F15 and PCTV Nanostick T2.

With such a narrow margin, there may be errors due to processing timing differences in the two receivers.

Thanks Llew- with the difference being only 0.5 seconds as you say, this could be accounted for by differences in demodulation/processing efficiency.

Did you by any chance also compare your TBS 6925 with freeview? And do you have a freeview TV rather than a DVB-T PC card to compare against?

I think if the MUX on 27.5w were being used to feed the freeview transmitters across the country the mux would be further ahead - at least 2-3 seconds - due to the buffering / error correction technology used in DVB-T these days usually adding 2-3 seconds lag on the transmission. I actually expected the 27.5w mux to be well ahead of DVB-T -unless the F15 is very slow at processing/demodulation?

I was under the impression this was a backup feed for Freeview. The multiplex is called BBC-SATBACK.

...and hopefully it will stay there for good ;) Are any of you able to open BBC ALBA by any chance? Transponder search finds this channel too.

I'll try some further tests with the sources you mention. I wasn't wholly convinced with the test I did earlier.

Is there something special to do the the DrHD reciever to open up 27.5W BBC?

Just looked at the footprint, seems not much chance in Naples for this satellite anyway.
