In my area, there is no signal at all on 11043 V at 15.0W :(
It appears to be on the North Sea 56 beam(?). The signal covers the exact area of northern England the operator was targeting.
Yes, unfortunately for some of us. Besides, there is an extra wide DATA transponder on the MiddleMed beam (11.015 V) which overshadows the new Satback signal. The curse of HTS multibeam satellites...

On top of the footprint, It doesn't seem like the 15°W version is particularly strong when compared to 27.5°W even here in the UK. The 15°W footprint looks like it should be potentially stronger over the UK, so maybe they're uplinking with less power.

On my (not perfectly aligned) 80cm dish -

27.5°W 11495 V - 13.2dB C/N
15°W 11043 V - 11.5dB C/N

For those in continental Europe, the North Sea beam map blows away any hope of capturing a signal. I hope I'm wrong.
Only those on the western side could lock the signal, a DX capture.
We're waiting for those happy and enviable DXers to tell us what antenna size they're getting.

I receive it on a 90 cm motorized antenna.

At night the signal levels are better (BBC Satback 15º W) than in the morning. With 10 dB now (EBSpro) without reception problems.

is it complete,tv and radio?

It's the backup of the two BBC DVB-T/2 multiplexes as on 27.5°W, for use at terrestrial transmitters in case of failure of their main feed (usually fibre optic or off-air UHF reception of another terrestrial transmitter).

So all UK-wide BBC channels in SD, the UK-wide BBC radio stations, plus BBC One HD, BBC Two HD, ITV1 HD, Channel 4 HD, Channel 5 HD, BBC Three HD/CBBC HD, BBC Four HD/CBeebies HD, TBN UK and 5SELECT.

Let us be honest...it lasted really a long time (years) to watch BBC on 27,5W in the whole central Europe and also a good part of south and east of Europe. The decision to move to the multibeam satellite is not a suprise and was somehow expected, but nobody hoped that this will really happen. So bye bye BBC, we will miss you...

I was so excited yesterday and was almost sure that it would be a good signal for bbc-satback from 15W but it looks like they are transmitting at much lower power. @Llew with his setup gets 10 db from East Anglia ( I assume that his dish is bigger than 1m) and @Butacas 10 db on a 90 cm and I here in Stockholm get nothing on a 65cm dish.

first screenshot is for 15W, second one for 27,5W

I could swear that I made a post here around the time Telstar 12 Vantage launched in late 2015 that one day it might carry the BBC Satback transponder thanks to its "North Sea" beam - I'm just around eight years or so early! :-rofl2

I suspect given the talk on this thread around six months ago about Intelsat 901 rumoured to be on its last legs electronically, plus it looks like Intelsat have told renters of capacity on the satellite that there's not going to be a replacement on 27.5W once 901 is out of service, is the reason we're likely seeing the BBC Satback service being transferred over to 15W. The only other Ku Band "broadcasts" on 901 are radio feeds for some Irish (North & South) radio broadcasters & it'll be interesting to see if they too will end up on 15W or somewhere else in the sky.

As for the SNR readings some posters are getting here - I'm currently testing out a Technosat TM5402 Mk4 and the Satback transponder is hitting 83% on the quality scale, far better than the EXRN & ESPN feeds at 60% each in wet conditions at the moment - I suspect the monster data transponder on the Mid-Mediterranean beam might be raising the noise floor for those more south & east from where I am located (County Tyrone, Northern Ireland).

Edit: forgot to mention, I'm receiving 15W using an LNB 7 degrees west offset from an 80cm dish that is aimed at 22W.

1.2M Gibby. You're on the edge of the footprint where you are as you have found. Satbeam's dish size recommendation for the beam seems generous.
Further reports of signal strength outside of the UK will give us some indication of the beam's reach.

You are right, the recommended dish size is generous but the power level on that transponder is low too. It should have something to do with the power level of the transponder because I don't have reception issues with data channels on the North Sea beam. I'll try with 90 cm dish later this month. DX-ing is fun :)

Thanks for headsup @Fisty McB . Noise floor of those extra wide data transponders is gonna be a problem for those on the edge of the footprint.
