For good quality actuators from France, you can call Bruno or his son (2galli.fr)
je connais bien bruno depuis longtemps et j ai un modele identique que je suis en train de modifier .
c est pour des pieces de rechange que j ai demandé à moonbase.
I have known bruno well for a long time and I have an identical model that I am in the process of modifying. I asked moonbase for spare parts.

Maybe offer things to others that may be able to find a use for (whom are not at horder level) rather than sending to landfill?

If anyone wishes to collect satellite junk from my front drive they are most welcome.
Normally, if it has not been scavenged by the local scrappies and bandits after one week it goes to the tip.

My plan is to free up a decent amount of space, hence the relocation to the front drive for a week then on to the tip.

To clarify my comment was general and was a vague attempt to save the planet and not aimed at any particular forum member. ^_^

How about a nice STD5000 DSR for the museum. I tried some IQ samples from fsphil but need to spend more time to work out how to load them to the IQ gen. It all light up though. There's also an Astrastar AX1 ADR in its box, museum quality:)

Forget samples - you can do live transmissions now!

OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC
My Location
Deep in the Boonies in the central Sierra Nevada mountains of California.
When I get too much junk in the trunk, I just build a new storage shed. (or buy a sea-land trailer and dump the junk in it) I just call them never-never-land 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, now 5 is getting full, might have to take over the pump shack.

More throw aways.

Todays junk now residing on the front drive waiting for the local scavengers and bandits is a TM-5200D receiver and a SuperJack v-Box
It seems the local scavengers may have raised the bar, stuff from two days ago is still on the front drive, perhaps my junk is junk even to them.

Another "two out, one in" transaction, my credit balance for new arrivals now stands at three items

I am about 6 or 7 miles from J6 or J7 of the M25.

I will possibly be throwing out an Elephant Trunk 36V H - H motor in the near future.
Usual story, bought it with a view to cleaning it up, 8 years or so later still in the loft, untouched.

As for a Jaeger 1244 motor, two are in service and two are in the loft in the "do not chuck" pile.
Huge offers accepted for any of them but it will need donkey choker size wad to get me to part with any, especially the brand new old stock one in the original box.

I will have to wait until you chuck the wrong pile out then lol

I'm back with more throw aways.

Today's pair of throw outs is a TM-5302 receiver and a TM-5400 receiver.
Also thrown out is an Avocent 4 port DVI KVM switch but it is not really a satellite item.

Another "two out, one in" transaction which gives me a credit balance of four for new arrivals.

The local scavengers and bandits are getting very selective.
One turned up the other day with a shopping trolley and loaded two 1400rpm electric motors into the trolley and the pair of actuators.
When I checked the front drive later he had returned the actuators after going off with them.
The neighbourhood is going downhill if the quality of the local scavengers and bandits are a benchmark, or perhaps my junk really is complete and utter junk.

Some SAT-related hardware.
My Location
N-E from Riga
I am going to get rid of this 1.4m (horizontal size of the working area ~133cm) plastic dish. The mount is cleaned and painted, all the fasteners are changed to INOX, the mirror itself washed and cleaned. I think it is too good to just scrap it, therefore will try to sell it on the local online flea-market. Will probably ask something like 60-70 EUR.
