Getting nice ones after messing with the antenna, building a new one that will be a bit more weather proof as the one I'm using now is just tie wrapped to the top of the PVC pipe.
I also got the photo editing software running so I can crop out the junk, looks a whole lot better.
Composite image from yesterday. This is made using the composite imaging capabilities of wxtoimg. Noaas 15 & 19 only - Ive taken 18 out my tracking for a few days until it clears the Meteor 2 co channel interference again
^^ The composite could probably be improved with a few tweaks to the recording settings - the brightness needs to be altered so its uniform across the images for starters.
Ive replaced the home made antenna with a proper turnstile & the difference in the image quality is incredible - virtually no pager interference now. Worth every penny. It does seem to be marginally less sensitive in the far north and south part of the passes, but I can live with that for the overall improvement.
I have not been getting clean scans lately.
Houses in the way.I only get clean ones at the low east passes.
This one is nice.
