Yes, different python code (00 ~ 60 or 01 ~ 60) and same binary to scan...

My Vu+ Zero 4k, own blindscan binary (vuplus bindscan) and save to .xml

Zgemma h9s/twin, (dmm blindscan binary outdated) and only work Ku Band...
i had a H9S for 2 days, wouldnt blind scan anything on the west satellites, tried, 22w, 34.5w, and 45w - NO TRANSPONDERS FOUND - so i gave up and returned it. I used VIX and OPENATV

neither my SF8008 (E2) - nor my SX88 (non E2) can lock that one mate - not sure if its just a signal issue or an low SR issue
From the earlier thread (though Radio Mars is no more)

Radio Mars (30w)

For me the success of the low SR detection was a dish that brought in a higher level of signal (or a lower noise floor), and changing the frequency by one MHz). I can't recall if this was before or after I fitted a PLL LNB though.

(Lexzie confirmed same using a Black Inverto further down the thread)

Aye, them SMW PLL's are tasty LNB's.
Have you got the PurE2 or SatDreamGR on that Octo SF8008, it might be worth checking the SR range 00 to 60 on a satellite with known low SR's?

at lunch time, I tried PurE2 - turned out to be the same blindscan as any other image, starting from 02 - but let me change to 01 - 45,000 - the SatDreamGR DID allow me to change it from 02 to 00 - but it didnt find any sub 1000SR TPs

so nothing different really, i was excited there for a while...

:)

Once again DM920UHD can scan and lock close transponders with low symbol rate.Test done at 42.0E:11127 V,11128 V,11129 V,11130 V,400,5/6.

can get them too mate, on E2 \ Technomate 0.1db LNB

maybe the 42.5e above was just a lack of signal issue for me (1.2m) - or my location..
Is that a Satdream image? looks like it..

That's a good question, because I should have said that before I posted.I should have made it clear that these transponders could only be lock by manual search.
I don't think there's currently a receiver tuner for us,as simple consumers of TV/Radio programs, that finds such low symbol rates on auto search/blindscan,so much more that software/images have been thought for this type of tuner. It mattered more the media content than the reception!
The Silab tuner with which most of the last receivers are equipped, including DM920 UHD,is not at the level of the SMT.Demodulators/chips from SMT are for professional devices, which of course cost more for manufacturers of receivers who want to buy it.Or they want to maintain a price that is as acceptable to buyers, that is,us.If these demodulators are going to be cheap, then we can hope to find a perfectly good tuner at an acceptable price.
For now let's be satisfied that we can manually lock these transponders with low symbol rate.

PLL LNB's are good at locking low SR feeds..
As is a good , cheap (free) non descript DRO LNB as I found last year.

I will carry out some side by side testing when it warms up a bit, but I would suspect the cheapest PLL LNB should perform as a mid range DRO version.

Age of the equipment outside will also make a difference, and stability of the final frequencies will be impacted by the seasonal temperatures.
