Oh ..it will work mate ..
I expect it would certainly match or even outperform a petalised 1.8 like Christina ...
Assuming the dish has retained it's shape..
Just dont expect miracles ...
there aren't any ..
lol

Thanks Evan, i doubt that, i have no fear of it retaining its shape, if it is out i will spoke it up like a bicycle wheel and pull it were it should be :)

Ive not long binned a 1.2m precision with polarmount! You could have had the p/m. I have a feed horn spare here if you want it Martin?

If it's the same Precision PM as mine was then it's a seriously heavy duty thing!

Martin,

If you need the specification of an original Precision heavy duty polar mount I have one that I can take the measurements from. It's rated for at least a 2.4 metre Precision dish and I think it may also rated for up to 3 metres or larger. The only reasons I can think of why it would not be suitable for larger than 2.4 metre would be if the circular steel fixing ring on the back of the dish did not match the polar mount fixing points. Or, if the ground stand pole diameter was too large for the polar mount to slide onto.

I have pasted a few pictures of it below, let me know if you need any measurements if you decide to fabricate one.

Rgds

Thanks again, the stuff they made for these dishes are way over the top the ground stands I have for the 90cm will be fine for a 1.2 and the fixed mount on the 1.5 will be fine for a 2.4 ally dish, I don't need to work to measurements I just visualise what will be strong enough and make it to suit, but yet again many thanks for the information and taking time out :)

Yeah, that's the same PM I have... it's proper stuff. I was going to mount my 1.8m CM on it - it would drive it without issues. And might put my PF CM on it...
