If so DVB-S2 transponders won't lock, a quick look on Lyngsat suggests most 16°E TPs are S2. 12699 H 9880 is listed as DVB-S, it's not as strong as others but I'm receiving it with the zone 2.

Have one. They’re useless. You can’t read the screen properly in daylight and they only support DVBS not DVBS2.Satlink WS6906.

As suggested hook everything up to a proper receiver and get a mate to help you position the dish for 16e.
I have ordered a galvanised 1m patio mount.I use M8 coach screws with a plastic plug. IIRC the hole was 10mm diameter - the plug or its packaging will state the correct size drill.
