2.4 DH Antenna installation

Morning moonbase, I am thinking of getting something like this and adapting it, maybe weld some threaded rod to it, will measure the feedhorn barrel when it arrives and order one.

I measured the outer diameter of my Invacom ADF with a vernier caliper and it is 25.0mm.

Thanks for your kind offer moonbase, I have a few things to test and play with for the time being, I'm not one for borrowing things to be honest, I like to have my own gear, but thanks again,

I am also going to modify one of the precision feeds, to be honest I think it might be the best solution on this dish, F/D is quite small in F/D terms, a small feed is needed to create a wide angle for illumination, thanks again for your kind offer.

It look perfect for the job. Have you a plan to adapt it to accept the feed support arms via some type of interface plate with angled edges for bolts, similar to the C Band plate you fabricated?

Yes looks ideal, I have a few ideas, will see better when I have everything to hand, I have some aluminium welding wire somewhere in the workshop will find it out

Picked some aluminium plate up for fabricating feed holders, decided to get the AV.com four port feedhorn, the wife's buying it me I only have to pay the tax when it arrives

I think we need to bring a container load of stuff back from Oz, there's a lot of good stuff done cheap (to mis-quote AC/DC) . Is it this one? 4 Port C and Ku Band Motorised Feedhorn | Av-Comm if so MB has the RC2000 driver for it

No its not that one G, but it will look like that by the time ive finished with it

Not from a scrap yard Paul, but off cuts, unsure what the full price would be but £10 for the lot

DFS always have a sale on, get down there and get a Chinese manufactured 3 piece suite and a couple of kebabs and Stella's on the way home for less than a monkey.

Yes, I assume I have the HPP board and eprom in one of my RC2000 units for something like that.

Cheap feedhorn and LNB have arrived, will make the feed adjustable in the new holder need to pick a few parts up for the modification
