Yes, I forgot about the aluminium aspect and lack of corrosion.

Let's see which option John goes for, he is supposed to have plenty of money according to "scopus", I think he will go for the bare metal and save more money :)

blademedia,

Its not long before you get pictures?
Have you heard back from the man from the council yet about it or do you have to wait until they have a meeting?

Hi moonbase, shouldn't be long before I line it up, most jobs are done,

Council only called in to make sure it was on wheels, I wont be hearing from them now, its on wheels it moves over 13 inch each way no planning needed,

It was in my own interest to do this, I have two problem trees I need to move dish around mentioned a few posts back,

I wont be happy until I have a nice feedhorn fixed to it, will be able to play while I decide what way to go, I will be spending a few £ don't want to think in a month are so I should have bought something different, need to nail my purchase first time.

It looks a nice feed, dual Ku band and Dual C band. They are the company that a few of us purchased the AV-COMM polariser barrel from. John arranged the purchase and it seemed to proceed easily. The Bullseye seems to be in the same price range and I think the equivalent PanSat is a little cheaper. Those three would seem to be the ones to choose from?

Rgds

Thanks, Yes I think it needs to be one of the three, AV is quality stuff and needs to be considered if I can find any reviews, then again the PS is getting good reviews, BE cant find a bad review, decisions :)

blademedia,

You mentioned above that the mount moves 13" each way along the rails, do the council regulations state that it has to move more than a certain distance to be classed as mobile? For example, if it only moved 6" each way, would the council man have approved it as mobile?

Thx

When enquiring to the planning department they couldn't give me a answer to how far it needs to move, after digging deep on the internet I did find something about 13 inch,

Its all a bit up in the air and I think they make things up as they go along, like ive mentioned before, it would be in your own interest to approach them and tell them your intensions.

Yes, for sure, with planners it seems its always best to enquire about options before doing anything. The 13" figure is useful to know even though it may be an "unofficial" figure.
