I've scanned this bird tonight. Used circular LNB "2" stands for Left and "3" is Right. On the same LNB also Horizontal and Vertical transponders are locking and show picture. Antenna- SMW-OA-1600

That's impressive, of Eutelsat 36B you're receiving both Sub-Sahara beam (12073 V) and Russia beam (12092 R)!
A normal LNB can also receive circular signals (L or R) with 3 dB loss, either using H or V.
In this case, you can receive 12092 R only when using H, because that supresses the interfering 12073 V.

Martin! You're getting a Russian beam of 36E! That's the first time I've ever heard of anyone getting it in UK. If you get a circular Ku LNB, or still a depolariser plate in the throat (an old credit card will do), I wonder what else you'll get off it.

I wonder too, but in this particular case a circular LNB might be worse!
Because then 12073 V will only be suppressed 3 dB instead of "lots of dB's".

12092 R is also rather special because there is no nearby L transponder that would kill reception when using a linear LNB (assuming Eutelsat 36A is much weaker than 36B ).

But a circular LNB sure will be worth a try. Wasn't it you CJ, that tried a circular LNB on 56°E a while ago? ;)

I think I am getting both Russian and Sub-Sahara beam from 12073, if you look at my screen grab below 0043 its the same TP but different pids, I was going to send for one of these Invacom QPH-031 https://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=ssl#q=invacom+qph-031+quad+polar+lnb

will it do the job here please ?

Above screenshots are 12073 V. What you're tuning on 12073 H is actually 12092 R.

The Invacom QPH-031 is for US market and for circular will only cover 12.2...12.7 GHz, so no good here.

The Inverto IDLB-SINR41-H1060-OPP should do instead, covers 11.7...12.75 GHz with our standard 10.6 GHz LO:

I think someone on this board from UK has an unused circular LNB (this one?) lying around, I forgot who it was...

Hi - well done on spotting the Russian beam - martin
had to try this one myself today having tried and failed a number of times in the past --
and indeed i have this one too today :) :):)

12072 is in my ch list - so must have been seen in the past - and is also locking today :)

As with the weak tp,s, on 7 West and 31.5 West that came to light recently these 2 will not lock using a C120 and CM feedhorn --- and are only locking using a standard l.n.b.,f ????...an inverto black ultra is on the 1.8 at the moment .
Now having serious doubts about the value of the c.m. feedhorn for fringe k/u/ reception :(

pity i have to work this afternoon i would love to play further .........................

yes - the recent comparison tests with you ............ have shown up an issue with the c.m. feedhorn versus a standard l.n.b.,f --- most of my own past comparing tests were done on the old turksat east beams and the C120 + feed was always the best of the two at the frequencies i was using there ??
all this seems to raise more questions than answers o_O

C'mon folks! It is impossible to get lock on any cyrculary-polarised transponders from 36*E in UK on 1,8m antenna, even more by using universal LNB. No way!

I did not say so. They can not do it! But everibody makes mistakes.
In offered screenshots I did not see any sighns of circulary-polarised signal reception.

I am definitely surprised but the EPG is carrying Russian text and NHK World is on Russian beam. There's no doubt here.

That statement also refers to me BTW.
I do not know why NHK World TV is lockable un UK, then another channels from same transponder also should be in the list. Perhaps something is wrong with lyngsat.

Martin/Nelson, could you post a screenshot of the channel list on 12092?
