Yes, I locked it with both Zinwell LNB and Titanium LNB using Dr HD F15 receiver. I have attached a picture below of the scan result from 40.5W in C band comparing the Zinwell LNB with the Titanium LNB.

I have attached a picture of the type of Zinwell C Band LNBF I used for the test. Please note that I did not use the dielectric plate in the Zinwell LNBF for the scan test result I have posted above (reply 106) , I placed the Zinwell in a polo pipe.

For another test I compared the two setups listed below:

1. Zinwell LNBF with a dielectric plate and no polo pipe
2. Zinwell LNBF placed in polo pipe without dielectric plate

The Zinwell LNBF placed in the polo pipe (test 2) gave the best results, stronger signal levels and more transponders.

with titanium and policarbonato dielectric 40 tp locked i think there is on sat 43 good results with titanium.
The zinwell is different is 15k and 67db gain

In the table I posted above I got signals from 75 transponders from 40.5W. However, some of them may have been feeds as I did the scans on different days.

If a dielectric plate is used, the Titanium is a better LNB than the Zinwell. If a polo pipe is used without the dielectric plate there is not much performance gap between the Titanium and Zinwell, the Titanium just has the advantage.

I have attached a table below that presents some signal levels from 40.5W measured using different scalar ring positions along the feed barrel and different distances of the feed barrel from the dish.

Dish = Precision 2.0m prime focus, focal length of 755mm
Feed = AV-COMM polo pipe
LNB = Titanium PLL LNB inserted into polo pipe
Receiver = Dr HD F15

The table shows some trends suggesting the optimum feed distance is ~ 745mm to 750mm but also contains an anomalous result suggesting the optimum feed distance is 755mm.

Great reference table MB. I also find the skew between those frequencies differs somewhat.

Yes, I am not quite sure if there are some artefacts being introduced by the polo pipe in the process of transforming the circular wave to a linear wave. A repeat of the test without the polo pipe using just the LNBF with a dielectric plate might be informative?

During my various signal level tests on 40.5W I noticed a transponder with an unusually high FEC. The 3843L transponder is in DVB-S2, 8PSK and FEC 8/9. It is not a feed, it is a regular broadcast. The signal level required for a lock is around 10.7 dB.

I've been meaning to get this bird for ages. What is the absolute minimum dish size to lock on it? (South of England, near Cambridge)
I've seen EIRP numbers which would put it as low as 1M, but I know YMMV.
