I think the FEC may possibly have changed for ESPN from 3/4 to 5/6 but not 100% sure about that.
Lyngsat has it at 5/6 and Flysat has it at 3/4

At 3/4 it requires 7.9dB for a lock, at 5/6 it requires 9.4dB for a lock.

If you were locking ESPN previously at somewhere in the 8dB's or lower 9dB's and it was FEC 3/4 but has now gone to FEC of 5/6 that would explain why you have lost it.

My combo says it's 5/6 MB

Here's a few more LHCP's using 5/6 FEC - all around the 9 to 10 dB area with me.

East Anglia ESPN around 10db also, 5/6 my RX says too. No change for me. This one has always been a pain very touchy on dish position and dilectric plate position. One thing I found by accident was reverse the plate position LHCP to RHCP, LNBF's usually have two sets of grooves. Obviously need to also swap manually RX pol to RHCP. Why this works I have no idea...

Looks like it is confirmed by quite a few dx men that ESPN has moved to FEC of 5/6. You will need 9.4 dB or just over to maintain a stable lock.
I can see a 2.4m arriving soon over your way !

it totally explains why i can get FS1 2 and 3 but not ESPN, before FS1 was harder to get than ESPN
my CBAND LNB is above KU - i think it also plays a part - but Nelson doesnt think so and if it wasnt for ESPN i would agree as i'd be nonethewiser, and just think its out of reach for me.

Good suggestion, result plate rotated nothing on 4123L, what parameters do you have set up there ? (ESPN as before no-go when plate back to the "correct" position)

when my cband lnb is in central focus position, i can just about get ESPN 9-10.5db using a d long plate made from plastic chopping board - since putting cband lnb above ku (in focused) positon and raising dish - i cannot get ESPN

All OK here.. CM 1.8, Trust LNB changer AV Comm barrel and a MediaStar PLL 5G filter LNBF..

Today that I'm back home I checked ESPN and FS1-3.
ESPN still has its old frequency, but FS1-3 has new symbol rate, changed from 10000 to 15000.
Both still come in at about 12dB

Thanks for this, FS TP now comes in here as well, with revised SR, now need to find a way to see something other than black screen :-)

Hmmmm indeed - ive been scratching my head since as something just wasn't right.
This might be relevant for @Manikm909 troublesome time with the ESPN tp - Eventually tracked the problem down to my Norsat PLL lnb. This has been giving good results with linear tp's but for some reason it was giving trouble with ESPN.
Anyway - after a lot of trying / changing different lnb's i ended up with our old friend the 'Astrotel Precision Gold' 15K DRO lnb - this gave me about a 2dB increase reading on the Promax to 12dB max and was a solid lock and viewable without drop out's from about 8dB upwards.
Other lnb's tried: Norsat DRO, better results than the PLL.
Gardiner 17K Mini lnb, works ok but similar to Norsat DRO lnb.
Iv'e got another mini BWEi DRO lnb with inbuilt 5G filter to try but i can't see it beating the 'Gold lnb.
All my swaps etc used the AliExpress External 5G filter before the test lnb.
So, @Manikm909 - might be worth trying a standard DRO lnbf as a test ??.

Indeed John, my Astrotel gold LNBF is a cracking performer! But with using a multswitch now I need a dual output jobby..

Try nudging the dish east and west see if ESPN comes in then. It's a very finicky transponder..
