I've had a look at this one with a 1.2m CM and currently getting between 10db and 11db on 12654v.

Any joy with the other Northern beam transponders? 12522v 27500 was the next strongest TP when I looked here.

I was able to get the one with the radio stations - 12531h - got 26 channels between that one and 12522v.

I'm now able to get all of the Northern transponders from this sat - most of them at around 7.9db but pixelated but can get TB41 and U+2 at 12db

Funny enough, the same transponder that's not strong enough (12694v) is the strongest one I can get on 40e.

WhatsApp Image 2021-01-10 at 00.27.57.jpeg

Unfortunately this is my most eastern sat - I was able to get 60e but the Ku channels were removed last year.

What receiver are you using there? Does it do native T2-MI reception?

Looking at the maps for this on the Northern beam I am just within the 3rd darkest orange area.
What size dish does this relate to?
And does a Mutant HD51 decode T2-MI?

I'm in the same area, anything from a Zone 2 Sky dish for 12654V (Kuban has left, only radio now) up to a 1.5m for 12674V & 12694V. A 1.2M will get most of them.

Interestingly some further south in the supposedly weaker signal area can receive 12674V & 12694V on a 1.2M, you may have better luck than me.

11265V on the Russia beam is possible on a 1.2M :)

Okay I will give this a try when I get some time.
Will the Mutant decode these channels, I have openpli image installed

I'm using a Channel Master 120cm

I'm using an Edision OS Mini 4K. I think it does
with an MIO4k Edision the t2mi work perfectly
So I think that with the mini4K it should also work.
with 8.8 dB the image is stable and perfect

There have been a few changes to the frequencies in use on this satellite since I last checked it some time ago so I thought a re-sniff might be interesting.

I can "see" all three of the Russian beam frequencies easily enough with a Promax Ranger and can get one of them (11265V) to lock in a blind scan with an Octagon SF8008.
However, the Octagon fails to scan in the actual channel on 11265V, it seems I am just below the threshold for a lock according to the Promax?

All the Northern beam frequencies locked OK but they are all strong signals and would be expected to lock.

Russian Beam Frequencies
1. 10885 V @ 7.3dB ( lock = 7.9dB )
2. 11265 V @ 5.4dB ( lock = 5.5dB )
3. 11345 V @ 5.5dB ( lock = 7.9dB )

Location: Surrey, UK

The situation is similar here, but 11265V can be reliably locked (6.0 dB typically) and channels are according Lyngsat.
I could never lock the other two yet.

I managed to get the SF8008 to scan in the channels from 11265 V on the Russian beam but no pics from them yet.
If there is a marginal improvement in signal level at a different time of the day I might be able to get pictures from the three video channel, most are radio.

I am guessing that the SF8008 generated channel names are a consequence of the tuner not having enough signal level to correctly read the channel names?

Success !
Well, scraping the barrel really, however, I managed to lock a pixelated picture from 11265 V on the Russian beam.

The signal level is improved today for 11265 V on the Russian beam.
It locks easily, captures the correct channel names in a scan and provides clear pictures, free from pixelation.

I think that is about all I am going to get from 54.9 East.
The other two Russian beam frequencies are still below a lock and the Southern beam is a lost cause.
All the Northern beam frequencies lock easily as would be expected due to their strong signal levels.

Nice work! No chance here.

ISTR that @Analoguesat locked 11265 frequency with relative ease in the past on his bent dishes. Sounds like the beam is stronger in the North than South.

Yes, I think Northern UK is favoured for the Russian satellites and Southern UK is favoured for MENA beams.
There have been a few changes to the lineup on 54.9E so any "Northern UK Scans" of the Russian beam frequencies might be informative?

I am probably at or close to the end of my Eastern arc and might be starting to get line of sight blockages from nearby bushes or roof ridges a little further away.
A laser sighting in the evening should give an idea of any blockages.
I did a quick check next door on 56.0E for the Wide beam and struggled to get anything, best signal was only a miserly 2.2db and that was using an SMW Ku-Band polariser.

With a CM 1.2m in north east England I get similar results on 11265V to moonbase's post #335, occasional smooth video but mostly broken up. The other Russian beam TV transponders parameters are found but no lock.

Aye bonny lad, thee is almost 300 miles further North. However, a good result as you are still quite a way out of the beam.
I am now getting constant breakup of 11265V, Ooop North seems the place to be to slurp Vodka from this satellite.
