The Italian Digital forum has many active contributors from South Italy. About ten years ago in Taormina Giardino (Sicily), somebody tried to catch Astra2d with a 3.8m Patriot prime focus (full) dish but he was not successfull. I visited that guy and I could personally check his dish and reception. Unfortunately, the signal from Astra2d was zero. Some years later, it was about 5 years ago, I spent some days in Corfu where almost all pubs had its own dish (2.4m - 3m), and I could personally checked the good and constant reception from Astra2d. Now idea if they are able to receive Astra2F.

Interesting. Never had read about that guy. But it seems that these days there are no big dishes used in Calabria/Sicily or just nobody is publishing even a negative report.

As for Corfu i know how many big dishes there are. This is where i used to spend the summers in former years. Many of them are from the times where British TV was on 19.2E. Astra 2D was received there but as far as i know only H, no V at all. If I could go again there i would check how the situation looks like on 2F myself but this seems to have become impossible. Anyway, i don't want to hijack this old thread so in the rare case that i would have some news about 2F at Corfu i will inform in the right thread so that everybody can read it. Probably it would be better to wait until 2E is up and has taken over all the frequencies of 1N/2A.
