Been out today and just come back to find out the good news.... horrah!! :)

1N here in the North West of England romping in, I do wonder if they've got all that signal level to play with whether they'll drop the FEC right down to increase available bitrates? Out of curiosity, what does 8PSK 22000 2/3 give netto bitrate-wise?

Come on, one guy who is around 200 km westward picks it using 80cm dish...I can't believe that 200 km makes such difference....:(

... and an afterthought just hit me (ouch): someone wrote his box can detect the signal but not lock on the channel since it has no proper ID yet. At the moment my box shows it as "TV Channel". So may be you have to wait until they switch to the proper ID before your box can lock on and save the channel.

????? Astra 3B puts a huge signal out and is an exceptionally easy catch here.

Do you mean 3A?

It is very likely the FEC will be reduced as the transponders get bunged up.

Sky will be pleased with 54dBW because it means the small Zone 1 dishes will have more of a rain margin, and that means fewer call outs.

Also means all the dodgy 3rd party Sky subbies will start using Zone 1's up here, I've seen them used up here before, unreal.:-ohcrap

My Location

A little report from central Sweden (Hedemora 100 miles WNW from Stockholm).

I have had very good reception from 2D with a Gibertini 160cm and a Pace 2600 C1. Normally reception 24/7 with only problems in very heavy rain. Signal quality on the manual tuning menu around 40% on 2D.

Had a go with 11.127 V 22.000 DVB-S2 2/3:
Could not even get a lock :-(

The frequency is 11123 V. Did you enter 8PSK as well?

Thats not a valid frequency. It would be around 11141 & horizontal. What size dish are you using as the huge signal may be overloading your receiver tuner.

Hi Puffin,
Maybe because your pace is a SD only box? Just a thought. I'm dying to try out in Stockholm but only have a sky HD box and won't work for me yet apparently.

There's a lot of frequencies floating about. Can someone confirm whether it's 11123, 11126, 11127, or anything similar?
I'm trying to key this into my TV Explorer - sometimes i get 86dbuv signal, sometimes I don't...
