The channel 5, channel stream on my SKYHD box on this new frequency is 07f5. Using the hexadecimal decimal converter gives me a figure of 2037.This is a TID figure. 2037 is Astra 2A 12442!!!!!!!
OK. Yes, I understand. If I can pull in the labels then I guess I will also be able to pull in the transmissions too! Fingers crossed :-)

No should be 10964 which is the frequency i input into other channels to get CH5 what the hell is going on????

I only replied to your post #234 where you did a calculation to show this ( 10964 ) was a mirror image of the channel 5 mux transmitted on Astra 2A was only correcting the frequency you worked out.

Sorry if your confused!

Regards

Sky boxes are notoriously unreliable for channel hunting where a tp is just a duplicate of another. As the network id is the same as the Astra 2A version 2A is what you get when you go to other channels. :D

Inputting 10964 on a Sky HD box gives you the channel 5 bouquet listed at 12442 on Astra 2a. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!! as i said what the hell are they doing??? On the sky epg the channel 5 transport stream is Astra 2d

They arent doing anything - its the (fairly useless) software on the Sky box interpreting things a little oddly :D

Remember Sky boxes are not designed to be hobby level boxes - they are for techno-illiterate Joe Public and his family idiot proof access to pay tv. For that they are superb - for interrogating new transponders at a hobby level - forget it.

You would be better off with a generic fta HD box! They tend not to get their software in a tizzle so much when transponders start getting duplicated.

I don't agree. It makes perfect sense to me. They uplink existing data to a different TP. The Sky box picks it up and points to the transmission indicated. What is wrong with that?

Because even when only a carrier with modulation (and no services) was present before the weekend, our forum colleagues in Romania and particularly Krakaw who can receive widebeam TP's ok confirmed signal from these were non-existant. I think Analoguesat and others have answered questions regarding reception reports using Sky branded hardware, best off with Freesat STB's although wonder if some of these will look up the TID and point to 2A?

I notice that Cream label is still on there, wasn't that removed from 12422H for a while?? It's not showing on Linowsat but is there when I scan the Humax HDR.

I think you'll most likely all be ok over in the Canaries, particularly with your 2.4m Channel Master and Inverto LNB. Sadly my relatives in Lanzarote with a 1.2m dish will loose C5 once the EPG is remapped.
