Does it mean 1KR will stay where it's now?

Indeed it does. I find it amazing, what information some people get out of the move of some transponders :D They put more effort in thinking about SES's problems than themselves ;)

Ive got just the dish for you. Only one available, good price to you. Sale to be concluded with a couple of envelopes stuffed with used 50s :D

The lnb might be a bit of a problem , but Vipersan can probably knock a feedhorn up given a couple of weeks notice :D

:)

Does it come with the control electronics so my Humax could move it? :D

How can you call 1600 metres a back garden?
We bought some land to the back of us a few years ago to stop any other people building there...... its basically a small forest but cost 10,000 euros, land is cheaper in Germany than the UK. The kids run around there a lot. Ill post a photo if you want...

Welshman should be ok though, as long as he gets a new feed from the German National Grid!

Rather off topic but the only thing is I am sure that you need planning permission on dishes over 120cm which could be a pain if i need a 2.4 meter or whatever..... as our neighbours tend to be of the nosey parker variety. Thank god for the German constitution which allows foreigners to receive broadcasts in their own language without restriction...

Any Cypriots with Sky HD boxes lost C4 HD this evening??? - the lads over at DS say the HD box epg has been remapped to the 1N version.

Never heard of that actually. I have 125cm, nobody asked for anything. As long as it is your own property, nobody is going to want anything unless you block the sunlight to have your neighbours live in constant darkness :D :D

BTW has the BBC HD transponder switched to the Astra 1N

Seems like a question to me with or without a question mark.

It is a fact that this forum consists of members with many different mother tongues and levels of knowledge of the English language therefore a certain amount of consideration of those facts needs to be taken account of before replying.

In the UK there is no right to light now as has been proven recently when my next door neighbours had the side of a house extension built a cars width from their kitchen window with full planning permission

EPG 140 on my Sky box is still coming in. We don't get 2D verticals so if it has changed this is good news. We may be getting 1N verticals in the Canaries. I only have Sky boxes so I cannot test a DVD-S2 TP off EPG.

I assume these reports show that the label has now changed from a numeric to "Channel 4 HD".

just done a scan on a freesat HD box...and it is showing C4HD is on freq 11126 v 22 2/3.
but pressing "i" for programme information is showing "no programme information available"

prior to the rescan it still has c4hd on 12607, but with no epg data.

Looks like freesat have re-mapped but Sky have not yet. Is it likely they would co-ordinate on such things ?

The freesaters on DS are saying their channel 126 is tuning to 11.127 but without certain "info" (maybe they mean Now&Next) and is called Ch4HD.

Has any one scanned to see if the label has changed ?

I think you are right Blueplatinum...the Sky HD box is still on the EB1 version. My Vu + still tells me that CH4HD is still simulcasting

It's still called 21200 in Transedit, same as it ever was.

And as it can't be picked up manually on a Sky HD box, the only thing Sky Hd box users can do is wait for Sky to add/swap it on the EPG.

I guess freesat populate their EPG channel name directly not from the ident on the TP then ?

If it is true that freesat have switched then I guess that puts to rest all the rumours about the spot beam being too wide :D

I would guess the channel name is just mapped against the channel SID in the epg data tables.

The following has been posted at -http://robssatellitetv.webs.com/astra1n.htm (ROB'S SATELLITE TV) - is this a reliable source ??

I HAVE JUST RECEIVED THIS FROM SES

21/11/11

Dear Mr

Please find below our answers to your questions in as far as we can answer to rumors...
There’s no plan to move 1KR.
ASTRA 1N will be moved to 19.2°E, not in 2012, but later on. More precise date is not public information yet
There is currently no public information about an Astra 2C move.
Transmission on 2D will be transferred on 1N (with same parameters) next year. Exact date is not yet defined... and it concerns only our customers at the moment.
New business on 1N is not public information either. However, we may disclose that ITV will start soon on 2.063 (in the coming days) and on 2.059 (in the coming weeks).

Kind regards,

SES

Luxembourg

The quoted 2.059 is frequency 10.994 H and the 2.063 is frequency 11.052 H
