Can I get ITV, ITV2 and CH4 here?

Yes, should be fine, but only if you have one of the newer FTV cards or a UK Sky subscription.

I only have the new sky cards that where sent out over the last few months. How do I get hold of a FTV card?

You can't now Kleefarr, at least not for the immediate present, also I incorrectly stated that you could get ITV2 with a FTV card, it is only available with a subscription card.

As far as I can recall, it was posted to us from Scotland. Would this make any difference to availablity of ITV etc?

If it/they have been previously activated, they should receive ITV, they may however take a while to catch up if they have been out of a box for a while.

When I search for additional channels in "add channels" ITV comes up as being there. So I select it and then go to "other channels" in the menu, but all I get is a blank screen and "no listings available"

Which frequency are you using?If you are trying 11.778v then the itv that comes up on that is a dummy channel,never been used.Try 10.832h,22000,5/6 and you will find many itv regions.

Didn't get any UTV (Ulster) which is the Northern Irish version.

Are the frequency settings etc for UTV different?

You'll need a darn big dish. Check out the footprint:

The TU-DSB31 is not recommended for use in weak signal areas. (This has been discussed elsewhere so look for the discussion).

The best LNB used in Cyprus seems to be the twin-output Invacom 0.3dB version so that might do.

Yes TV3 and it works, but we're after a Uk version of ITV which will show different programs.

Hi Kevin,

It sounds to me like you have an Irish sky subscriber card. To get ITV, CH4, 5 etc you need either a UK sky customer card or alternatively a FTV card, which are no longer available unless you try the Pouttv route.

I should also note that if you have the UK cards then you loose RTE, Network 2, TV3, TNG etc.

I can now confirm that nearly all BBC is 24/4. I loose the vertical transponders from about 09.00-14.00. All others are perfect alll day. During the evenings the vertical are stronger than the horizontal!
All ITV fine 24/7, except 10.906 V, this does come on now and again, but is not worth bothering about unless you are desperate to watch ITV2.
Equipment:
Panasonic 30 - The Best!
1.5m Gibertini offset dish
LNB Universal AP8-T2 Manhattan MTI LNB 0.6dB with 40mm neck.
The MTI (£20), works far better than the expensive Syntec 2000 0.3dB!

It's not as easy as it was.

You could

subcribe to Sky UK package
or
sign up to a mature content channel like Pouttv.

Whichever way you will need an address in the UK or in Northern Ireland.

If you already subcribe to SKY in Ireland and the contract has not run out yet, then be careful. The cards are tied to the box number.

I think that the rugby is on ITV but really couldn't give a f***.

Just plodded through 30 pages to see if anyone in Berlin has finally had some success in receiving Astra 2D.

Most forums and reception sites still don't give conclusive proof. Booger.

So - reports anyone ? Also, If you are further east than Berlin - please report in as well; as this will help immensly :-)
