@Huevos,11713 H-I can see for the first time the strongest signal so far,which must be attenuated Spain is the most favored area by now if these values are the same when Astra 2E will be 28.2 About 10710 we can definitely say that it is the European spot,because we each have strong signal on this carrier, you in west , I in east of Europe.

The fact though that 2E was still at Astrium once 2F was operational surely means any chances they wanted to do could be done so quite easy by moving the satellite back in to the specialist Antenna test room they've got. If I get an hour free I might watch that "How To Build A Satellite" documentary I've still got recorded as might give us some clues.

Those aerials were built months before 2F was launched. By the time 2F was fully operational 2E was already packaged waiting to be shipped to Kazakhstan. It's was in Kazakhstan at least by February.

I think so too, tbh.
So then when 2F was up and running, they probably read on the Internet that people were still getting the signal with larger dishes in countries that they specifically wanted to shut out, and that's when they nudged the beam further to the west in January.

I didn't know it was in Kazakhstan by Feb, your probably right then that the antenna pattern will be identical to that of 2F. It shows how long it's all been delayed!

Unless the SES guys got their hammers out and knocked the antennas into a new shape to shut out countries to the east whilst waiting for the launches and reading this forum. ;)
