I think I said this yesterday.
I can get 2F (unless it rains)

I can't get 1N

I can't get the channels that everyone is saying have gone

Therefore, I assume with some confidence; they are now on 1N

There are two separate swaps under discussion. The one that happened two nights ago it is now generally accepted was to 1N pan-European beam. Last night's swap was not. Many people are saying it was to 2A North, but I think it may be 2A South or 2F PE as the channels are being received in Lanzarote on a 1.25m dish. I would dearly love to hear if anyone in the Canaries is getting them with a smaller dish. Good test channels are MGM HD and Sky Premier HD.

BTW it is interesting you get 2F but not 1N whereas for me it is the other way around and we have similar dishes. Gives me hope that with a bit of a tweak I will be able to get 2F and 2E when 1N ceases to be relevant.

I have already confirmed that I am getting MGM and Premiere, nevertheless one thing that for sure did go today was F1 SD. It was there last night

Yes thanks for that. Can you get any channels from 2A North on that dish normally?

MGM HD & sky Premiere HD are not showing no signal - just call to upgrade - ill get my meter out later. But would assume working ok

Don´t know what Sky is playing that. Mr Murdock will be giving someone a kick in the soft regions and then showing them the door when the cancelation dept receives tens of thousands of cancellations!

But it doesn't affect anyone in the ahem "intended" coverage area .................. ergo the loss of the Revenue from non-UK/RoI punters will lead to yet more price rises for others.

That'll cause a fuss. A kerfuffle, even.

No, even though they are registered in the intended region! Yes price rises for all UK subscribers (and the Virgin cable competeition won´t keep Skys prices down as Sky will pass the costs on by raising the prices they charge for Sky sports etc to Virgin). I think whoever organised these changes will be deep in the smelly stuff. Its not a coincidence that Sky Sports (SD) was on the strongest and most widespread transponder! Many people here very upset. Paying 65 pounds a month. Not for much longer!

MGM HD, Family HD, Premiere HD and Thriller HD on 12015 V showing MER 7.5 db on a 1.35M dish in Lanzarote.

This looks same as 11778, 11855 & 11932

So it's 2A north that we get here in Lanzarote but the Western Islands struggle with.

oldfart receives 726 channels with his 2.7 dish but with a 1 meter dish I have just done a rescan and have 379 channels.

Main channels received here are:-

Sky 1 SD/HD, Arts 1, atlantic SD/HD, living SD/HD and +1, showcase SD/HD
discovery channels seem ok and 3E Ireland
Sports HD 1,2,3,4 SD only sport 2
MTV base, claasic,viva, dance, trax

Can't receive
MGM HD/Sky Premiere HD nor Sky news

Remember it will all change again when 2E goes live. Probably best not to canx subs but drop them down to a minimum payment for six months. I suspect if you cancel then Sky will have to issue a new viewing card, new activation etc. which adds much complication.

I have no idea BP, frankly, I am not sure where the signals are coming from. I had assumed that it was from 2B South and the channels that we have lost over the last 18 months or so had gone to 2A North or more recently to 1N. Channels which I am led to believe were on 1N, very infrequently can be seen in a heavily pixellated form. I had assumed, maybe incorrectly, that the arrival yesterday of MGM, Premiere HD and Sky Arts 1 SD suggested that these had been put on 2F.
Possibly someone can tell me for certain one or two channels that are known to be on each of the satellites that are dicussed, i.e. 1N, 2AN, 2BS, and 2F. I would then be in a position to confirm which I am able to receive.

If you google kingofsat yhey have an Astra1N, 2A, 2B etc page which will give you an idea of what is/was where. There are some anomalies such as Eurosport 2 SD which everyone says was on a North beam but I could pick it up on a 1.2m in Fuerteventura.

For those like me whose principal concern in this debacle is the loss of F1, there may be some hope. Sky are running an article on their site saying F1 will move to 406 and 439 on Feb 4th. I'm keeping fingers crossed that one or both may change satellites on that day as well.
