I think it is just a matter of dish size. There are many reports from Stockholm in the "The Astra 2 Forum".

Ok, so if we look at the scans from Oldfart and STS it is very clear 11005V/11185V (1N, PE1) and 12207V are not on the same beam. For STS, 12207V is much more powerful and for Oldfart, 11005V/11185V is much more powerful. I think most likely beam is 2F western Europe. For me also the level of 12207V is nowhere near as strong as 11005V/11185V

The thing is, why do my signal levels during the day and night for 11005V/11185V follow the pattern for 2F rather than 1N?

I think another map would be very useful.

For me, it would be interesting to see the differences between say 12207V (Sky News SD) which is non-existent here and 12109H (Cartoonito) which seems to get the quality meter bouncing a little suggesting a signal but still no lock.

Perhaps for those without meters and FTA boxes with quality levels we should choose some channels that are exclusive to certain transponders (as noted above) that do not have Irish or other equivalents so that people can simply say whether they have a good picture 24/7, some breakup or no signal without looking at the wrong version by mistake.

But perhaps best use the right frequency 12109 or 12110 for Cartoonito/Fox... ;)

No, Sky News SD is FTA but there isn't much else free on the other transponders.

SES have confirmed that all channels on Astra 2B have been relocated to Astra 2F not 1N. Astra 2B should start it's move to 19.2E shortly.

Oh well, if it really is 2F then they forgot the Canaries and it's very bad for the Nordic area too. 2E should be even worse for the north.

Very interesting - thankyou for reporting that.

I'd still prefer to wait for further details as SES PR people are prone to issuing incorrect and incomplete info.
