Heard of an "inverto" LNB, but never a "reverso" one

(had to take a very close 2nd look to see what was "wrong"!)

Maybe it's a disguised surveillance camera?

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

The zone 1 could be the primary reflector in a Gegorian install.

That's absolutely right. So small it doesn't show up in the photograph!

A secondary reflector can be of any size, and distance from the primary, as lomng as it doesnt interfere with the incoming signal

Spotted this satellite & terrestrial setup at a community centre this evening...

cc1.jpg cc2.jpg

...for context, the top UHF aerial (vertically polarised) is aimed at Clermont Carn in the Republic of Ireland, while the lower two UHF aerials (horizontally polarised) are aimed at Divis in N. Ireland. I'm not sure how exactly they were all set up, but it certainly seems that all three UHF aerials weren't installed in one go, even though both aerials aimed at Divis have suffered some element damage (weather or otherwise). The main problem I see is that the lower Divis aerial (manufactured by either Televes or a knock-off of their design) has its boom going across the face of the satellite dish. It's unlikely that it'll severely affect satellite reception, presuming the dish is aimed at 28E, but it's hardly good practice IMO.

Edit: Bonus points for pointing out that the top two UHF aerials are far too close together for them not to interfere with each other, but this is not a rare practice in Northern Ireland.

Aerial 2 (going down the pole) looks like it has been semi-converted to dual polarity.

Plenty of installations here with UHF aerials sitting over the top or across the Sky dish...

Near here, there's a low-rise block of flats with steel-framed balconies and with the open framework covering about half of each balcony to the full height of the flat - and one of them has a Zone 1 dish right behind, and against, the framework with only half the dish face having a "clear view" of (I presume) Astra 2! Must "work" as it's been like that for several years!

Possible but somewhat unlikely because the block of flats is fairly recent (around 8 yrs), and thus also the dish installation - thus I assume that the dish is working, or at least was working after it was installed!

an internal aerial would have probably sufficed.
Possibly not - because that prefab building is probably metal and that would make it a pretty good Faraday cage, which will screen out most of the signal!

The worst thing is this was seen very close to a train station platform....... I feel some kind of court case coming on accompanied by strong winds.
