The lnb has arrived and as i said the labgear and the visiblewave look the same, confirmed they are the same as came in labgear box but on the lnb has visiblewave inprinted on it. Also i did say its a 40mm as per the description on the amazon add.
My old 40mm adapter has worked but it was that weather worn that it has cracked still holds the lnb but will have to look to either get another 40mm adapter, any1 know where i can get one? Or will try get a mark 4 arm which is a little thinner will work with the adaptor that came with it.
Lets see how it performs in the rain, if not glitch then job well done for 15 quid.

Is it not possible to glue it? I may have a spare mk2 holder but it too will be badly weathered.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
Will this work? Its 37mm but if i use top of the clip that came with the lnb might work?

Good old-fashioned nylon cable ties could a quick and decent "solution" - and easily "reversible" if a more permanent solution is found. :D

It will be 40mm - it came with the dish and had extra plastic bits to limit the skew but I ground them off so universal LNBs could fit.

Based on the pictures in this post

you are doing well.

There are adapters for the early dishes from certain outlets, but they would be more expensive than a new dish - delivered - from better suppliers, which the Labgear stuff slots straight onto.

A half-round metal rasp-type file would be pretty good for quickly removing the ridges in the LNB clamp to enlarge the internal diameter (I think I may have done that at some time in the past).

The internal diameter was 40mm to begin with, I used a Dremel type tool with a small grinding stone to remove the bumps that slotted into the guides on the LNB.

Update,
Still getting glitching on some asian channels. Even when the weather is clear. Looking at the signal it show 85% then drops to zero flicking betwen zero and back up which is causing the glitch.
Next thing now im going to change the cable to webro wf100 twin cable, see if that helps. Might be a damaged cable.
Thanks

Too much signal? Can there be such a thing?
It was twin cable so i swapped the cable from my sat box with the one that was going into my tv and its stopped glitching. Must be loose connection or cable what you recon?

Yes you can overload the tuner with too much signal, but as you've demonstrated it looks like the cable is the problem.

Just ordered some webro wf100 cable. Will the genuine cable have webro wf100 on the outside?
Which are the best f connectors or will screwfix one be ok?
Thanks
