Strong 4375 driving a 2.4 m Channel Master dual focus offset + Invcom Quad C120 K/U l.n.b. + BSC 421 and Zinwell C band l.n.b.,s - DR HD F15 - TM5302 - Octagon SX88+Optima - GT Media V7 - HD receivers. + other dishes currently in use - Antique 3.0 m Prodelin P.F. - Channel Master 1.8 m offset - Channel Master. 1.2 m.
My Location
North West Yorkshire - near Lancashire & Cumbria borders.
Think i,m close to optimum now with this feed .. Feed 1.jpg - ( the l,n,b, was a little too far forward in the holder and a touch more skew needed for both polarities ) Can lock the 9 transponders in the scans listed above in post 198 and 199 ...... with 3 other verticals around 2.0 db under lock ... 4686 - 4696 - and 4704.
I,v spent way too much time on this - l.o.l. ... Enjoyable time though.

Indeed ... Was trying to do too many things at once the other day when setting this thing up between showers ......

"iv'e got an H signal for you to look at that's in the normal band segment" ....... Interesting - will return to you about this.

Having a break from satellite things now .. and for this afternoon at least.

Cheers .

... Those three Nelson are all fluctuating between 6.1dB to 6.7dB max on the Promax but no lock
The rx can see and log them as well but also no lock

A surprise discovery when i looked at this - this morning around 9.00 am ... Without touching anything at the dish - the existing verticals i had had weakened considerably , and the two above t.p,s were now locking scanning and holding o.k. and even 4705 v locked and floated in and out of lock for a while .... Maybe its a time of day thing here for me ? .... they have weakened somewhat again now ... and yesterdays verticals have strengthened again.

@65 West Extended.
Hmmmm, what have we here that's paid us a visit ?
This orbital position for extended Cband frequencies is getting busy.

It will be interesting to see if frequencies above 4500-4800 MHz are used more for satellite reception once 5G becomes fully operational. I think North America is supposed to clear 100 MHz (3700-3800) by the end of 2021, and then clear another 200 MHz (3800-4000) by the end of 2023.

Attached are what I can get at 65w now.

Unlikely, a different aperture is required for efficient transfer of the higher frequencies, and so the feed, OMT and other parts will need to be manufactured in bulk.

No signal seen here as indicated from 13West on your analyser in Central UK with a dedicated 2.2mtr Extended Cband rig i'm afraid
But can see the signal from 40.5West Extended C-band for that channel
