Nice one @John I learned something there. I will give my pipe another go now that my replacement 1.8m dish is up. I expect more from it than a vipersan plate

Thee welcome, it's been a while since i last used my AV-Comm barrel on my system but looking at the picture more closely again the barrel will come from the supplier with the 'front' outer surface machined down to accept the scalar ring / cone and the rear end will be internally machined out to accept the Zinwell lnbf or a single feed transition.
I think that because @otokoc is using a custom build comprising of a AV-Comm Poloriser barrel into an AV-Comm OMT into two lnb's then it looks like either AV-Comm ltd or otokoc have machined the 'rear' outer surface down of the barrel so the OMT becomes a 'female' fit onto the rear end of the pol barrel

Also .... i'm interested to follow this build to see what lnb is going to be used on the other OMT port ? , if the Norsat 8000RI that is mentioned is on one of the ports, it covers 3.6 to 4.8GHz so missing out the 3.4 to 3.6GHz portion of C-band, will another 3.4 to 4.2GHz lnb be used on the other OMT port to obtain the missing lower portion of Cband ?.
5G broadband interference might not be a problem for @otokoc as it is for us here ?.

I have already used my cheap 5g filter lnb with av comm pipe with same success as a titanium 5g filter lnb and vipers plate. That was last Saturday. I'm hoping with new dish which is now pulling in consistent channels from 40.5w the pipe and lnb might actually give me an increase over tit and plate

It should do, it did for me. The depth the LNB goes into the barrel is critical I found..

Very good, you are very lucky to be 5G interference free - it's getting quite bad over here in the UK in certain places.
I was quite impressed with the build quality of my AV-Comm OMT and it worked really well, good luck with your project and please keep us informed :Y.

Would pipe reduce interference? I could try zinwell and polo if so

well - its setup...i need a fellow 1.8cm owner to compare sigs with...
currently getting around 9.8db on Gourmet NORTH HD - 3763 R 30000
signal is strongest with Scaler ring butted up against the polo rim - and the LNB stuffed right in, makes me wonder, if signal would climb if i started cutting off LNB 5mm at a time, so it goes deeper in. rain cover reduced sig by about .5db

i was thinking of mounting my jack on the west side - dish spends a LOT more time on west - with its big girthy member protuding all the time
maybe i can receive on 65w

maybe there not much after 58w i could get with 1.8 - but 58 comes in nice and strong tbf

It won't be worth the expense to look at 65West - extended range lnbf needed that covers 4.5 to 4.8GHz plus a larger dish.... i'm only just pulling in enough channel signal dB's on my 2.2 PF Cband system tuned to a knat's whisker of it's life. There's not much feed activity, hardly any, if at all.... and no signals seen in the normal 3.4 to 4.2GHz.
40.5 West Extended is about the same as well re: extended frequency channels.
