I also wonder if with the vid can the police do her under public order?

They'd probably only drop them a warning, if they were called out and arrived while she was being belligerent, they could have had her for breach of the peace, but not much more...

Just seen a poster on a lamp post with a shot of a thief stealing a bike.Offering £500 for evidence to convict him.

My 6mm lens arrived today.Installed it.It's a good job that I did not get a 8mm one as I first I was going to..The focus is a bit out.I set it up in the conservatory.I find that different distances need different focus. As I said before I find that I can adjust the focus with the camera board still in the case, with long nose pliers.Turn the locking screw a quarter turn at a time until the lens will turn.Tomorrow hopefully I will adjust the focus with the camera in situ.Taking care not to over tighten the screw. It screws into the threads. The second pic is 3.6 mm the third is 6mm.

I hope the owner hasn't put that up, or he might find his self in trouble.

Only police can release photos.

It looks like a private one.Like the ones people put up for lost dogs. The thief is unlikely to complain though you never know these days. With yooman rights.:D

Edit it also has a mobile phone number.

A little corporate mumbo jumbo but interesting none the less:
Code:

Interesting as in, larger pixel sizes yields better light sensitivity.
Example, 2cvbloke's camera with an ov 9712 has a pixel size of 3 um. Could be good to know as a reference.

That's great Ray, for a few £ we can get the lens to suit our needs without splashing out £30/50 + on a new camera :)

Hope you get it sorted :-) it's looking good and only costs a few quid(the sort of upgrade I like)

My camera has an annoying feature, it keeps changing the time by an hour, usually forwards by one hour as though it's doing a BST change, means I have to log into it again to change it (and usually just logging in sorts it, dunno why it forgets to just leave the time be!!), good job the recordings are timestamped by the NVR!!

A bit of bad news. With this lens the image is washed out even more.It doses not have built in ir-cut filter. It may be alright in the dull days off winter but no good now.I am thinking of getting a 4.6 lens with ir-cut built in.Would this help.I am thinking 4.6 because maybe 6mm is a bit too closeup.

My camera is only a meter and a bit from the hut.
The brightness is set at 1 contrast 255

Untrue, until the toerag is convicted he is only an alleged thief.

I was just thinking, if all of us with ipcams joined together and was able to monitor everyone's cams would this still count as a closed circuit?

Nope, as that would constitute being open to the public, which isn't allowed under the DPA rules...

I ordered a 4.5 lens with ir-cut yesterday. It arrived today.although the lens is slightly shorter. At focus it sticks out about 1mm too much, the cover will not screw up fully. For now I have sealed it with allga algathingy tape for now. There are 1.2 inch spacers below the board.if I can get them out I can shorten them. That is for the future I have other things to do
It works though.

It dose look much better doesn't it.Obviously the lenses without ir-cut filters are ok for night viewing.Focus slightly out but difficult to set using a phone.
Happy with it now though.:)

Certainly does :), its a shame you don't have a spare unit, you could use the lens without ir-cut filter for viewing the mice at night that will no doubt be looking for a meal under the bird table.
