aseeing as the official entry into service is 6-9 months away there is no rush for the official footprints to be released. (Q2/Q3 2023)

Maximum time for electric satellites are 6 month's but I am hopeful that these satellites will get functional before march 2023

When does one see the change on one´s receiver ?

Reduces cost. Two satellites with more transponder can cover the work of 3 with fewer transponders. ISTR it was planned that any two of the 3 previous Hotbirds could cover for the in orbit failure of the third one anyway.

Some of the pay tv providers will almost certainly have guaranteed service contracts so for example in the case of of Hotbird 13G fails in orbit 5 years from now then the transponder loadings on 13F will be altered to guarantee say Sky Italia has full service.

Rubbish - the footprints of new satellites are designed for the requirements of their customers not for the benefit of enthusiasts like us.

If mianabid loses access to 50 transponder on the new craft due to changes in coverage then thats tough. YOU arent paying Eutelsat lots of money - its just a historical quirk that you can see lots fo lovely tv services from all over the world via 13E!
