For those of you who have selected Robert Kubica as a driver, you may well want to alter your selection, at least for the first half of the season.

I hope he has a speedy recovery, he was an integral part of my team for most of last season.

That's a great shame - not in my Fantasy Team, but certainly in my real Team, so to speak: This guy is a future WDC (Probably not in a Renault) and doesn't seem to be afflicted with the flawed personalities of certain other Pram Pilots.

Remind us who the Renault reserve driver is?

Answer: Senna/Grosjean

Oh dear.

Not good news for Kubica supporters. His right hand was apparently 'almost severed' in the accident and surgeons operated to return 'functionality' to it. It seems almost certain that he will miss all of this season and looking pessimistically, his career could be over.

I do find it very sad, and as Tivù pointed out, (and I agree) he was likely to be a future champion.

If there is a real problem with meeting the 24 (?) person requirement, I'm happy to run two teams if that would help.

Yes, I'd be up for running two teams as well if the situation warrented it. At least one of my teams wouldn't finish last then!

It doesnt really matter if we dont reach 24 as most of the fun is to be had trying to beat your mates on the forum and the banter after each race. If we are 2 or 3 short then second teams may be invited but with strict handicaps applied to them like last year :D

I'm in with the usual F1 Aberdeen; the lucky 13th team to sign up!

Protesters are planning to target Bore-aihn as events in the Middle East start to engulf more and more countries:

I cant see any way Bore-aihn can go ahead as originally planned as things stand in the country atm.

If the protests continue its inevitable that the race will be targeted by protesters, and the thought of a protester getting onto the track during the race and getting mowed down by one of the cars is too awful to contemplate.

Im pretty sure it'll be cancelled this week.

I've had the same thoughts. The question is will they try an rearrange for another venue, or scrap the first race of the season all together this year.

They cant move it - all the heavy equipment is in transit on a ship bound for Bahrain!

Best they could do is rearrange for later in the year

The only viable option for running a race that weekend other than in Bahrain is Barcelona, owing to the logistics associated with the final pre-season test. That would in any case be likely to produce a more exciting Race as Tilke tracks are notoriously crap, with Bahrain being the worst.

Yes, it's scarcely better - but if Bernie returns to the land of the living anytime soon, we may get some sort of decision.

He's gone to ground in an attempt to get King Bahrain Chap to cancel it, so Bernie doesn't then take a massive financial hit.

To no-one surprise Bahrain has been cancelled - the first race of the year will now be Australia.

Bahrain may be rescheduled at the end of the season.

Christmas is over and the new F1 season is approaching. Registration is now open for the annual forum fantasy F1 competition. :-worship

If you want to take part & took part last year your old login will work. If not you will need to register:

Set your team up any old scratch team will do to begin with - unlimited changes are allowed up to the first race

then join a league. We are a private league.

Search for Sats.co.uk F1 League (Ive had to change it as previous league admin Salty asked we dont use the old Supa Liga type name)

league password is sats2011

As usual please introduce your team in the thread or it may be ejected. My team is ScotbordersF1 as usual :)

To stop expert freeloaders jumping in and spoiling it for our regular members all entrants must have joined the forum before 1/1/2011

Dear Analoguesat, please tell me more details about your team. Hopefully I am going to be one of your league. Do you like aggressive player?
