about toroidal transformer, i take 80VA transformer with 2x15v or 2x18v, but there is no output for 5v power supply.
this is why I take a toroidal model: I remove the plastic on it and I put around the core a new copper wire (about 40 turns 1mm2). I get about 7.5v AC.
for a czech dx amateur (stan) i am testing a chinese board (220vAC to 24vDC) the output is 24V DC 12.5A max (300W!!!!) i also have a 36VDC 7A to test. these products are cheaper than my toroid solution!!
For Stan i add a second board to manage a second azimut actuator and another actuator to move a board where there is LNB !!
four actuators !!!!

I am looking for 1 or 2 old actuators of the 12 or 18 inch type with reed contact, it is to make a test bench for my positioner tests during my software development. At a low price !!! shipping to France. thank you

Hello JPC,
I also installed the USBASP and a Raspberry Zero with a relay board.
Installed the USBASP so that I don't have to keep looking for it in the future.
The Raspberry is used as a LAN web control switch to switch off the outputs to be controlled in order to be able to make fine adjustments via the receiver positioner menu because the positioner is not next to the receiver but about 30m away in the laundry drying room, that's what I'm currently doing with my 4 V-Boxes.
I have a modified mobile phone cable USB->TTL and if I'm looking for something also a USB->serial (9-pin)
Do I need other software besides progisp1.72?

uspasp directly connected inside the positioner ( with proisp1.72) to update the main program , any TTL to USB or TTL to RS232 can be use with my original software to update the database .
i have made some improvements so the new program works with a new database (data format is different )
old program (t81t16g --satjp81 dialposi6 ) new program (t82t16j --satjp82 dialposi7)
USBASP need to be deconnected when not in use (it confuse keyboard) !!!!

probably the blue capped usb cable can fit you need to wire ground rx and tx but not +5v
