Same here in España, Alicante, fringe for the U.K. beam............................................ channel4-7 and Yesterday, Dave, Drama etc - the only channels that never worked for me, all of a sudden this weekend I found them all working to a greater or lesser degree - signal quality was next to 0% but they worked.
SO what's changed ? has the dish moved ever so slightly in wind etc ? has the signal strength got stronger ? or is it just the clear winter skies ? - I assume the latter........................................................
Yes, definately time of year affects the reception of these channels, winter always better, summer temperatures daily of around 34.0ºC allow us a superb life but affects our sat hobby.
Bigger dish obviously lessens the reception 'problem' but with us here LNB skew is vital, vital and more so with the switch off of some SD chnnels.
No complaints from me, had bigger problems when we depended on Astra 2D.
Good luck.
