I think the dish has blown over trapping Rolf and Gary underneath, therefore denying them access to the internet.....

Well rolf has just gone.

Spent 2 and a half hours on the dish and its not good news.

No matter what we do cannot get badr6 to lock! and badr4 is 10% down on my 1.8M dish.

Its a big risk but the dish is now locked on 16e for tring and another dish 5E for viasat so i should see all 6 games saturday (providing tring actually show anything).

I am ringing around now trying to get a 2.4M 2 piece dish but no where has stock.

this 2.5m under performs so bad, rolf thinks its in the lnb, but its a nightmare. Its confused us both! And I just want the football :(

aslong as they have it for 2 weeks then it gives me time to get an andrews 2.4M here.

Everywhere is out of stock for 2 more weeks on the dish :(

Its impossible how a 1.8M dish can out perform a 2.5M dish!!

Yes mate i am gutted! Having to rely on tring was my very last option :(

Hopefully I can get the 2.4M 2 piece dish in 2 weeks, we know this dish is the daddy and should perform abit better then my 2.5m should have. Just gutted its all going to be so late!

Sorry to hear it didn't work, like everyone else I've been following the thread hoping you would get it to work as it seemes like the good old days of cobbling everything together hoping it worked:)

Just searched for the dish you're now after, it looks good, but expensive, seen the pictures on Southernsat website.
Code:
http://www.southernsat.co.uk/cart/index.php?l=product_detail&p=220

Please keep us updated when you get your new dish, at least you have a working mount for it, I assume you will be removing the 2.5M and replacing it with the new Andrews 2.4M?

Also seen it on Satellite Superstore, about halfway down the page:
Code:
http://www.satellitesuperstore.com/spain.htm

I also like the stand they've produced for it, but when I eventually move, and use a ground mount, I think I'll opt for the cheaper concrete post method:)

The 2.4m needs a mighty 6.5 inches diameter mounting pole.

There is a 4.5inch dia azel mount for it mate so I will use that and my mount already in the ground. That way its less work for me.

No where has the dish in stock :(

Ah, I'll start the meter running - kerching....

Actually I could probably help you, but I have comitments up till Saturday at the moment, unless there is a cancellation. I'll do some homewoek tonight on the footprints though, just in case this is just more than the dish under performing.

Jeez I can't believe it.A 1.8m dish outperforming a 2.4m dish.Ok I understand that the LNB is quite specialised and as such is not directly matched up for the dish.Does this bring the debate of the prime focus v offset dish back into the arena. With what you were achieving on your own last night I thought the meterman would have nailed it for you this morning.I am feeling your pain as I write. As I stated in your other post today the offer from Sateuropa of a Tring card at £285 for the year on 16 e with a 70cm dish would be a killer if it lasted the season. On the plus side you have now gained some serious experience on large dish installation which other members of this forum would kill for.I am looking out for an Andrews 2.4m dish for you here in Ireland. If I spot anything I will let you know straight away.Keep the faith.
