Still looks like you may have the rotation problem Gary, the arms don't appear to be clamped at the right angle.

Hi mate,

The arms are solid now they are bolted up properly.

And the feed is pinting from what i can see directly at the dish... So until further tests I can only guess...

Its very sturdy, with room for abit of adjustment in all angles if we loosen the bolts

I think it just looks abit funny as we put the holes on the corners instead of the flat bits. doh!

Excellent work there Gary. I'm following this saga with great interest. After all, this is what the hobby is all about - in your case, dedication and perseverance to achieve a particular goal.

How easy is the dish to move around the mount?

Here is some pictures of my custom C120 LNB bracket.
You need to modify that so the LNB can be moved in and out towards and away from the dish face. At the minute the clamp is too long so would be impossible to adjust. And maybe you will need to mount the clamp on the other side of the square plate, i.e. turn the plate over. The old feedhorn was much further from the dish. You should really use that position as a starting point. LNB depth is critical with big dishes so you want as much adjustment as possible.

The problem is, i could user some long washers to move the lnb back, but if I did that would it not put the lnb off center?

At present its bolted how the bolts where on the old 1.

I will give what you said a go and see if signal improves :)

Try 12182H, that freq is not used on 28E, if you get a sig on that, you're not on 28.

Also you can calculate the F/D of the dish by measuring the diameter and the depth of it. From that you can measure ROUGHLY, where the feedhorn should be. Calculator here:

_http://www.satlex.de/en/fdratio.html

When you have it all sorted, don.t forget to put some clingfilm over the feedhorn tube, otherwise the spiders will get in there and ruin your signal.
