I agree with you he will be heavy on fuel & this on occasions can get him some points with an average car but.... he has been 3rd fastest on Friday his car is genuinely quick this weekend don't you think he should of gone for a little less fuel and a better grid position ??

It's impossible to say how the Red Bulls will perform over the course of a whole race.

It maybe the case that when Red Bull modelled their car's performance up against that of the projected performance of their competitors, their car performed poorly over the long distance.

Of course, it may equally be the case that DC has decided that long stints will benefit him in the longer term.

We can only wait and see. I hope Red Bull do well though, I like the way they go about things.

F1 Aberdeen remain in 1st place, but Auto-Dynamo cut their lead with a Turkish top score of 98pts.

Tom34 was the big climber this weekend, moving 3 up on the ladder, whilst Oily and Linhas (now off the bottom) also put in great performances.

It was a different story for pazinho and his Outcast team who fall 3 places, whilst the Tossers (3rd in 2007) and Rubbers (7th in ‘07 ) continue their terrible starts to the season.

Norm in the Pure FF1 Cup > The Supas are in the top 32 for the first time. They sit 25th at present.

I don't have any secret formula myself, but Norm does - he wiped the floor with us last season :-rofl2

Well I was very lucky last year in that my team started out with Lewis Hamilton, a rookie in an excellent car who performed way above expectation. It really was a head start.

I don't think there's a secret but you do need some sort of strategy. You get an additional budget of 2 million after every race so you need to try to use that to best advantage. You can also see values move, Piqet Jnr has dropped 6 million from the first race! Last race I changed my chassis from Honda to Red Bull; it cost 2 million but it brought 6 additional points.

If you look in the Components section of the home page, you can see how each component has performed points and value wise over the season. This may help you if you are thinking about changes (3 free changes per race).

Also don't forget about the 10 points available for predicting the grid positions of your two drivers. :)

Norm.

Looks like a change to Bridgstone 1 for the next Grand Prix followed by Canada .:)

Also of note, the super soft compound, which will be used at the Monaco Grand Prix, is modified from the compound used in 2007. The other three compounds, hard, medium and soft remain the same, as do Bridgestone's wet and extreme wet tyres. :-worship

16 March Australia Albert Park Soft and Medium
23 March Malaysia Sepang Medium and Hard
6 April Bahrain Bahrain Soft and Medium
27 April Spain Catalunya Medium and Hard
11 May Turkey Istanbul Medium and Hard
25 May Monaco Monte Carlo Super Soft and Soft
08 June Canada Circuit Gilles Villeneuve Super Soft and Soft
22 June France Magny Cours Soft and Medium
06 July Britain Silverstone

Big change in Tyres in the next Monaco GP in two weeks time, Super soft will be used so I predict a mass change to Bridgestone 2 and also with the Canadain GP in a few weeks time, This could be a turning point for teams not watching technical and equipement changes, like the guys still using Super Aguri in there teams.:-rofl2

Editor's note : Sorry for the lack of race reports in Spain, it was the last day of the football Premier League season, so I was focused on that, and I just haven't had a chance to watch the conclusion to the race. I never do a report unless I've seen the whole race :)

I am awfully sorry my good friend but my browser (firefox) doesn't appear to have the correct plugin to view that specific footage now lets change the subject ;)

Will Alonso do well?
will Bourdais ever finish a race, I though he was going to be a great driver?

I struggle on with this season down in unpteenth place but Monaco is where my season starts as it is going to be wet. So I have sacked all my drivers including Bourdais and now have Coulthard to win Button 2nd, well why not.

The lottery numbers will be 6 13 17 23 32 45 and I may have a punt myself on that.

I admire your unwavering confidence Tops :)

It's been a while since a proper fully wet race, and with it at Monaco, I think just about everyone has a chance right down to the Force Indias! Schumacher would have loved these conditions, the rain master such as he was.

Well I just hope that David and Jenson do not have a liking for armco especially as this is their home town.

Official Qualifying Result

The sky was blue despite predictions of rain, and the front row is red despite Hamilton's revival in Thursday practice in Monte Carlo.

Felipe Massa goes into the race on pole for the third time this season. Pole position usually equates to victory in the principality - the last time the pole sitter did not win the race was 2003 - so Kimi Raikkonen will be as sick as a parrot that his Brazilian teammate nabbed this vital advantage in the dying moments of qualifying.

The McLarens are 3rd and 4th on the grid, with Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen (in that order) hoping that rain might appear across the skies on Sunday, and also that any hidden heavier fuel strategy on their part plays out to their advantage.

Robert Kubica continues to sizzle in the BMW, qualifying just 6000th's of a second behind Kova in 5th. Fellow BMW driver Nick Heidfeld appears to be going through a rough patch down in 13th.

Partnering Kubica on the 3rd row is Nico Rosberg, whose Williams colleague Kazuki Nakajima is coincidentally also one place behind Heidfeld. Alonso and Trulli are 7th and 8th.

Taking the final top 10 places on the grid are Red Bull, but only Mark Webber had the opportunity to take part in Q3. David Coulthard's bad luck struck yet again when the Scot's car veered violently to the right on the exit from the famous tunnel, sending DC into the barrier and sliding off into a slip road while the right rear tyre went AWOL and made a desperate attempt to complete tha lap! Coulthard will certainly need major repairs and thus lose that 10th place on the grid.

Well you can see we have not even had the race and one of my drivers has hit the armco,

Looks like I am staying firmly down at the bottom of the standings

He's never been the same since he survived that aircrash ;) I just thought he would respect his home town armco a bit more, it was an odd accident though
