Channel Five have confirmed details of their two new services.

Five US will bring UK viewers the very best of American television in genres such as: established and new drama; comedy; films; sport and youth programming.

Five Life will feature an extension of the channel's hugely popular pre-school strand Milkshake! as well as drama; films; soaps; popular factual and lifestyle programming skewed towards a female audience.


Both services are due to launch in the autumn, and at the moment are being reported as running fta

Ministry of Sound Radio launched onto 0198 this morning. (A week early - we expected them next week, and they arent due to full launch until the 16th....

Interestingly 0197 hasnt been filled yet....

Wave goodbye to ITV 1 Meridian West and ITV 1 Central South. They are being merged to form a new ITV region - ITV1 Thames Valley

ITV is to cut 40 regional newsroom jobs after announcing plans to merge two separate local news programmes in the south of England in a major restructure of its regional output. Meridian West and most of Central South - two of ITV's smallest news regions - will be brought together to form the new region of Thames Valley.

A full service of new programmes will be launched to cover the region, but the merging of the twoprogrammes will lead to the loss of up to 40 jobs across editorial and production.

This leaves 0197 and 0199 unaccounted for... (Could Radio Caroline be getting 0199??)

Disney Channel +1 is to relaunch on June 26th onto 614. Playhouse Disney is getting shunted up to 625

Radio Caroline reported launching Monday 12th on 0199. However the launch may be delayed as there is a minor dispute with Sky....!
