And lose zapping? Anyway it's a bit late for that now - he's already got one. And personally I'd have the T90 over a motorized 85cm any day of the week.
He was thinking about getting a second one.....

Blimey! I'd just add a motorised dish to fill the gaps. TBH, not much worth watching past 7W, except feeds and you need more than a T90 for that.

Cheers H,

I guess, I would of looked at another T90 but, if I can get the 7W on my original dish and lose 39 and 42e. It will be worth it, as 7W might have a little edge over 39/42.

If did to get 7W closer to the main sub dish and not on a outside bar - what will be the ideal mid lnb at 0?

So, I would be going from 28e to 7W

13e???????

7W has the edge in as far as it has quite a few English language (subtitled in Arabic) channels. As to which LNB to place at focus, the ones you are keeping to the East of say 9E are all in the main, powerful satellites. In other words you can afford to have their LNB's a bit off focus. Maybe 5E would be a good choice? This would also align the dish more towards the western side of the arc. Please don't consider another T90, I think it's overkill...

Thanks Pete, the wife would go nuts if i did managed to sneak one in over the fence without here looking. I will take a phot of the side of my houseso everyone case who might get a little peed if i id stick another one on.

so it will look like this

28-26-23.5-19-16-13-9-7-4.8-0.8-5W-7W

I have highlighted the 7 and 4.8 as won't the 28e be on the edge of the bar?

OK - it's 8W I have scanned in, not 7W. Sorry, guys. I can't get 7W at all with the 78cm, and this evening I can't even get 8W. 11W and 5W are coming in fine.

Sorry, getting of topic a bit here. Vu+ was waiting for drivers for blindscan for Solo2 from Broadcom. Until those drivers become available the blindscan plugin won't be part of the image for that model (so no point doing a forced install, because there is no working driver). AFAIK, the current Vu+ models with working blindscan are Uno, Ultimo & Duo2.
OK - understood. I can now install and run the blindscan but it never finds anything :)

I'm not sure how far along the bar it was before but can the bar not be moved along slightly? You don't have to do it the way I suggested, make 7E or 9E your central LNB if it's easier. You don't even have to have an LNB at focus if it's going to make aligning the outer ones an easier task. On my TD88 the Triax bar precludes an LNB at focus, though with some butchering modification you can get very close LOL. Definitely check on the reception of 7W near to you if you can. It will save a lot of fiddling (and possible earache) later on to get a result which may be at best indifferent.

GZF, I was kidding by the way, you know I'm just a few hundred KMs from Africa, right? On my T90 I've got 9E dead centre, and 7W & 26E at the ends. But for me those satellites are as strong here as 28E is there.

Cheers H, How will 28e do at the edge of the dish if 7E to the middle, or would it have to be 4.8E, to have better luck with the 7W.

TBH, I don't think you've got a lot of hope for 7W on that dish in your location, and since I'm 2000km away from you I probably not a very good choice to be asking advice from.

Whats the best place on here to put a thread and ask a question about 7w and Wales. - See, if I can get some locals shedding some light.

Hopefully help our knowledge banks too!

Right guys, following on from my SNR thread, which I think, I might of got my answer.

But, it's now opened up a few more problems, which may need some help suggestions or some very thin lnbs!

I going to put some pics up of the latest update on the wave.

Edit that the pictures are too large. Totally forgot this site hates pics. Hold on while I figure out how to get smaller pics on here.

Hope this works first picture of the ultra, 2nd is the flower pot setup, 3rd is the wiring, 4th back of dish 19 is bar0 and 28e is the black ultra on right side, 5th back2 is the pic of 28e black ultra moved into the 26e lnb position. Its was tight in the first place.

I now need to find a way to get 26e back up - maybe a ultra thin lnb or 2 ultra thin lnbs for 23.5 and 26e with a few jigging around.

If you have to go for narrow feed LNB's these are the ones I use.

Narrow feed LNB.JPG

(Left to right : Alps, Megasat and an Opticum Red Rocket) Out of those the Alps is probably the best compromise, both the Megasat and the Opticum lose signal because of the narrower feed and if you get rain on the feedcap surface you'll lose the signal pretty quickly. Did you give up on 7W and substituted 26E instead?

I've tried and failed to get 28E and 26E working together on my Triax TD88. At the moment I have 28E and 23E working on there and they are touching. 26/28 would be a little easier on a 1M dish but still difficult. You'd need a Black Ultra on 26E and a narrow feed on 28E.
