Martin! Thanks for advices. I will repost same picture I posted before. what do you think is there circled red?
Yes, correct, it is device which regulates speed of the drill, it changes voltage from 0 to 220V. And drill is powerful enough to drill on small rpms. Of course I made 9 x 6mm holes and then crown drill (green) is centered to these holes. Crown drill does not need many holes to be drilled.
But, OK, drilling is over, I will go to the next steps now.
Agree with you, I need more practice. If I do it once per year or little it often, I also make some mistakes.

I do not know why I did not remove this Prodelin last summer (anyway it was not used till now, without even feedarms)?! So, I removed it today and all alone (same I was installing it also alone). After removal, to say thanks to this antenna, I gave it good hand-wash.... it took some time o_O
Will be installing on this ground-stand polar-mounted 1,8m NSG antenna.

Bad news- I got my back and neck sun-burned pretty badly
But good news- washed 2 dishes today IMG_20150628_190316 (Large).jpg . NSC 18-1 has much more dirty corners than Prodelin, so took much more time IMG_20150628_134110 (Large).jpg . I also discovered antenna's name hidden under dirt IMG_20150628_130854 (Large).jpg ! Now I am pretty sure what kind of antenna is it.

Obviously, the NSC has a larger offset-angle than the Prodelin!
Once you get around to it, you can do a 180cm contest in addition to the 120cm one we are all so looking forward to...
(althoug I dare to predict that the difference will be very very light - I dare to say the Prodelins and CMs are equals (but with 0.8 f/d performing better than 0.6 f/D), not sure about the NSC.)

But... I realise you must just have driven your transporter 2000 km with the rear packed full of dishes and mounts.
(instead of clothes, gimmicks and furniture).
How on Earth did you persuade SWMBO to that??

In my table those dishes are one after one with all their parameters.

So your NSC dishes are 0.51 f/D rahter than 0.6??
That's more like the SMW dishes (0A-1400 and 1600)
You should try the SMW feed-horn then, it's 0.5 f/D.
Did you get an SMW feed-horn with either of the OA-1400 dishes?

She did not notice that!
You must be the master of distraction, my friend.
Just packing a 1.2m Channel master on the roof drew some very strict comments from my missus last summer when heading for the summer house in Sweden...

According to my calculations SMW's parameters are as follow (I can be also wrong):
Edit: I was wrong

Yes, sorry, my mistake - the 1600 is different - more like a 0.6.
The OA-850, 1050 and 1200 are 0.5 f/D, whereas the OA-1400 is more like 0,.45 (akin to a prime focus).
I have a 0.5 f/D feedhorn for the 1050 I could share with you for the NSC.
You will have to cut away the Fe-rotor attached to it, but as you are quite adept with power tools, this should be no prob for you...

Thanks @st1 , generous offer, will keep that in mind. I have couple of LNBs designed for antenna with 90* opening angle (about 0.5 F/D). But my main goal for NSC 18-1 is to fit it with subreflector, make it Gregorian.

Hi! For 1,8m Prodelin antenna I've got new flange LNB made of this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Micro-Twin-LNB-gold-Edition/dp/B004TTNJNI
I hope I measured original feedhorn's flange right and attaching LNB will not be problematic.

Hello RimaNTSS,

I want to mate a Prodelin 51deg Feed Horn to a universal LNB.
- How did you make / where did you find, the "flange" that you fixed to the twin gold LNB ?
- Any reason you used a twin gold LNB (compared to other LN:cool: ?

thanks

@stephenG
I do not fully know what is 51deg Feed Horn
One chap adjusted universal LNB to his own made flange. If yo wish I can send you his contact. Or, I can post you that twin LNB I have with no profit. I mean money I have payed plus shipment.
I chose twin just to be able to watch channel from one exit and, at the same time, measure signal level from from another exit. But, TBH, I have never used both exits at the same time.

In *post 307 of this thread you showed some pictures of a metal plate attached to cut off twin gold LNB waveguide (see attached images copied from your post). How / where did you make / get this adapter plate (it is what I need) ?.

Thanks

Have finished making stand for antennas. Perhaps 1,8m will bee too much for it, but 1,6 should stay firmly. 9 x 20mm bolts allow to make central pipe plumb. Right now there is 75mm pipe fixed in.

Played little bit today- installed SMW-1400 (it was the easiest one). Still did not decide on which satellite I will compare signals. Perhaps I should chose most south satellite, which in my case is 23,5*E. Pole is well located, next to the window, and if I open it I can see TV screen and also use remote.
