From time to time they appear in the craiglist, (that is actually where I got mine) but that, of course is over the pond and shipping is pain.

Decided to to install 0.98 Prodelin on the balcony.... why not if there is unused pole?! Just managed to fix mount to the pole and rain started - no luck. Another issue (not critical though) all nuts and bolts are not metric. Mount and antenna are 17 y.o. and being installed first time now.

I like this! On each package with nuts&bolts is written when and by whom it is packed! Like "Packed by Frances Little 5/27/98" IMG_20150823_154423 (Large).jpg
And rain is not always obstacle, I am still inside the room and only hands stick outside :-rofl2
I think I will remove adapter between 40mm vertical pipe and the mount just to have antenna little bit lower (neighbors might not like antenna so visible)

CM 120 and CM180 have same offset angle, which is 22,6*

Add: and do not worry about off-topic..... everything what is here is one, big OFF-TOPIC. :)

Even without adapter, antenna is too high. I think I need it some 20cm down. And also, on this pipe antenna is not very stable. Of course, I can add additional threaded bar (red), and it was there before, but anyway it will be better with another pipe.

Another pipe, this one is 60mm and little bit shorter. Need to drill some holes for fixing bolts and, of course, layer of paint.

Finished new stand. Fixed it with 7 x 8mm x 80mm wooden screws. If needed, will also connect pipe to the balcony infrastructure.

Installed LNB and tuned antenna to 4,8*E. Also tried to make nice picture of all antennas installed, bet seems that balcony is too small (why do they build such a small balconies?! )

Who was drilling holes in the metal using mostly hand drill, and after some time got stationary drilling machine, knows difference very well. O yes, it is huge difference! This is my upgraded working place, not so much space, but can do nothing about it . Car is almost touching apposite wall.

Picked up another Fibo 90 today. It came with box of spares: couple of polarizers (one is new), couple of motors, feedhorn (one of the first ones- with square flange), couple of feedhorn covers, several LNBs, original polarization plate, fixed mount. And, of course motorized antenna with old Grundig receiver to work as positioner.

Where do you get all this stuff?
Is there a much bigger cache of Fibos floating around Brussels, and thus appear in Kapaza, or is spread by word-of-mouth that there is latvian guy who will take all the old rubbish of your hands when you clean your garage?

This time it was from marktplats.nl. One chap decided to quit his hobby in favor of cable-TV. Polar-mount was stuck and without braking motor axis and plastic cog-wheel it was impossible to take it apart.

Not really SAT stuff, but indirectly related .... to cut metal at needed angle I need something more than simple angle-grinder in hands. Some time ago bought small device, but it is sh*t. Decided to make one myself . Maybe somebody already went through that process and ready to give some advice before I make something wrong?

Fixed saw to wooden plate and added couple of springs (borrowed them from out-of-shelf stand). Made experimental cut.... much better than hand-cut. Should think how firmly to hold metal detail before it cut.

Worked little bit more today on cut-off saw. Still should think about mechanism for fixing detail which is going to be cut.
And, I think I need another angle-grinder, as this one will stay mounted and be used only in this mechanism.

Well, Martin, you are right, everything is buy-able nowadays, not only tools but also products and services. And if we wish we just continue spending money sitting on the couch. But what if we wish to do something with our hands? Then we stand up from the couch and do what we like to do . Chop saw you linked is good one, but it surely produce much more dust than simple 0,8-1mm angle-grinder cut-off disc. It also more appropriate for bigger (in size) details. Perhaps, in the future, I will buy something lake that. But today, I wish to finish my own cut-off saw made out of angle-grinder.

How thick is cut-off saw blade? 2-3mm (maybe more)? Means that it produces at least 2-3 time more dust than AG with 1mm blade. Is not that true? ;)
Add: But, in reality, I care more about perfect 90* cut than about amount of dust. I know for sure that AG hold in hands will never make perfect cut.
