Maybe hire a crane? What does your wife have to say about your latest erection?

Crane is not interesting. Yes, we spent some time doing that, but as a result - mount is in place.
P.S. Wife does not mind my erections @Captain Jack :D

That helped keep surface always wet and helps concrete to cure more evenly.
It's better to just keep it wet and let the heat out, the only time you should cover it with anything is when the air temperature is below zero, you do not want frost damage, also the forms should have been removed the second it was hard enough so you could not press your thumb into it.

This re-leaves the stress on it as it cures and will keep the cracking down, the concrete will expand quit a bit when setting up, if the forms are left in-place too long it could crack, mostly at the corners, or where you left off with the last batch if you mixed it your self.

I use a battery operated water timer and a couple of lawn sprinklers, every few hours it wets it down to help release the internal heat build up, the thicker the concrete the more it needs to be wet down.

And be-leave it or not concrete never quits curing, Hoover dam is still curing, the Roman Colosseum is still curing. (The Romans invented concrete, I helped mix the first batch)

@Terryl , I see you have lots of knowledge in this field, which I do not have. I spoke to local specialists, and followed their instructions . They practice the way of polyethylene cover also at summer time. Anyway, seems that my slab is doing well. Will not dig it up/ break it and start everything again. I already had enough pain, and some pain is still coming.... I know there is some hard work ahead. I will just try to not make fatal mistakes on the way.

Nam quot annorum es ?
It will loose something in the translation but,...(V)CL Anno natus sum, et habere in bonis cursare.

Having fun with friends.

And RimaNTSS I'm not saying to start over, if it works then it's fine.

Have you tried to raise the pedestal yet?

Think about an "A" frame or an engine hoist rented from a tool rental center?

Got several anchor-bolts, payed for this bunch 1 EUR ;), it was some kind of sale in the shop. There are 5x20mm and rest is 16mm. Used those anchors to fix new stand to on of small (~50sm x 125sm, > than 500kg of concrete) blocks. I like such a stands as they are quiet universal in use. If needed, than any pipe in diameter up to 100mm can be tighten inside and made plumb.

I was wrong last night..... it is actually possible to use pipe inside the holder with diameter up to 120mm. I had one piece of such a pipe laying around, so now it is holding CM 1,8m. How many people did the install? Right, only me !

Lovely job.

Are you planning to fit an LNB and cable it, or just going to leave it as a Modern Art installation?
