My resident blackbird has young now, dad was keeping look out in the big tree at the top of my garden while mum was feeding her young, a pleasant start to the day .

Hi Chris, its only a cheap one pal, this is the exact model. for the money its not bad, but it does let me down at distance on small birds, its ok for macro shots. i need an upgrade when i get some spare money.

Thanks battenfan, I did not know it existed until your post, it looks a bit bulky for me but thanks for the suggestion , my problem lies with the cheap camera, spending around £300 should sort the problem out for the time being until I want better again,

When my summer house is finished I will be 15ft closer to my bird feeders that should help with this particular camera, I also need good macro for my metal detecting finds, and I would like to get more into macro pictures at some point, I love Rolfs picture, but unfortunately I think this camera would struggle if a bee/wasp was flying in, a few macros taken this morning.

I've tried digiscoping, but not found it too successful, although I've seen some people getting pretty impressive results from it. The knack is finding a decent very quickly attachable camera/phone bracket.
