Ponny over at DXtv says he's received the wrong batch of Ka LNBs, Saorsat twin LNBs instead of the KaKu type.

May be another week or so to replace them with the correct ones.

If a Sat company can get the orders wrong ...
I dread to think of what complications might arise..

I just hope the lack of a second confirmation email doesn't mean they leave me out ..
Not that I feel up to fitting it atm anyway ..
Full of flu and aching to the bone ..
manflu it aint ..and although I am prolly no worse than anyone else with flu ..it will take me longer to overcome as the meds I take for MS work by compromising the immune system.

It must be the season, I also have a chest infection :-( the steroids I have to take compromise the immune system.

And it takes me twice as long to get over it.

Just a question about diseqc, on my set up I have a 2 way diseqc 1.0 switch, then on side 1 of the switch is an diseqc 1.1 switch.

On side 2 of the diseqc switch is the bbc then the cable goes straight to the lnb.

Now with this new lnb having a mini diseqc switch built in, can I switch the two outputs, or will I need to change my setup?

I guess this is what we shall find out in due course Chris..
Theoretically ..
Diseqc 1.0 / 1.1/ 1.2/ 2.0 etc are mutally compatible on the same line ..
For example you can use a diseqc switch in cascade mode ..
1.0 and 1.1 ..
and a Vbox on a switched line from a receiver ..
1.1 ...> 1.2 ..
So providing protocols are correctly implemented ..
all should be well ..
problem is that some receiver manufacturers have been known to take short cuts...
I guess we just wait n see..

Re reading your question Chris ..
You may already be using cascade mode ..
Thus there (May) be a conflict of interest re an internal diseqc 1.0 switch if the lnb has one ..and the one you already have in your cascade..
If this is in line at the dish end ..
Some cable juggling may be neccessary..

Dont throw in the towel until we know for sure Chris..
Do you only have one cable going to the dish ...?
And presumably you have more than one lnb on the dish ?
A diagram would be helpful if you want to knock up a quickie in paint ...
much easier to see in a visual ..than descriptive ..

Something like this is also useful..

Receiver >diseqc 1.o - (4 port) (port 1) > diseqc 1.1 (8 port) (port 2) > Ku lnb

Receiver >diseqc 1.o - (4 port) (port 1) > diseqc 1.1 (8 port) (port 1) > KaA lnb

Receiver >diseqc 1.o - (4 port) (port 2) > CB lnb
