@satkingdom Do you asking Mr. Archived-1? He was only looking at making one but never made and we will never know that as he left the forum. Motors usually require additional wires to be placed from receiver to antenna. In case of DiseqC motor, it can be operated via same coax cable which goes to LNB.
Thanks for the answer.

No nothing religious , just a support i had to make to find out where to put the original Laminas AS 1800 side arms at the main beam of FEEDSATdxer's lnb changer .

AS 1800 dummy.jpg

Its almost ready , just have to cut the INOX M8 rods for the lnb clamps , will get them tomorrow .
Today DigiDX collected his changer for his Kathrein CAS 180 .

Don't forget to keep the Laminas measurements, I'll be next in line for those.

OK , I'll start with yours .
2x C and 3 x 40mm clamps ?
Allready made some progress but since Feedsat-DXer is waiting for some time for his Lami changer and wanted my EHM-100 Usals rotor ready for 1.8 CM + a 5 lnb changer for that , I decided
to make that changer first to send everything in one charge to him .
I hope you understand .

I will compare the load at the top of the feedarm from the changer with long axel and motor behind the dish , versus the one with motor at the top (like Scopus have)
The TechniRotor is very light weighted so maybe thats a option for your Laminas to.

@Trust1, I understand you're also making some reinforcements for the Laminas dish? I'd also like these :)

To make changers for different brand and sizes I made a new adjustable construction in a sheltered area in front of my shed .
I wanted more room in that shed , so I a made a cabinet in that sheltered area where I can store all garden tools .
At the picture a setup for a 1.8m CM changer with a TechniRotor with a arc of 150º , enough for 5 lnb's ( for Feedsat)
Took a luggage scales to find out the load of the loosely hanged changer ( dish side) without the sidearms and lnb clamps .
The scales at the lnb adapter wheel shows a weight of 1.45 kg
Since the boxed main beam is shorter at this version , the original side arms are too long , that version comes with new 16 mm ones .
Did the same messurement with the 8 lnb changer for Feedsat's Laminas AS-1800 with the 350º modded SG 2100 at the back , showing 2.00 kg
Part of the weight will be the long inox axel .
To use a arc of more then 150º , we have to use those heavy DG-120 or modded SG 2100 .
To mod such SG 2100 , I need two of them to complete the main gear .

The Diseqc 1.2 motor mounted at the front is possible for the Laminas AS 1800 with 5 LNB ?

Best Regards

All the parts for Feedsat are ready , tomorrow i will take them with me to my employer to make them ready for transport .

Best Regards Cardiff

This afternoon I started with a set-up to see whats possible for the Laminas .
Pretty shure I can manage but just like Feedsat's changer for the CM , I have to make new (shorter) sidearms .
Making two of those changers in one time would be easier to me .
Last week I ordered two TechniRotors , they should be delivered this week .
At the pictures the strengthening set for the Laminas on the table and the one at the back of the CM.

Looks good to me! Aesthetically, I actually prefer this wheel to the angled one. The only slight concern is whether the side LNBs would be blocking any of the signal to the dish?

I have got 4 LNB's on my wheel, no probs with signal block.

Since the main beam of a changer with the top-side motor is a lot shorter , the sidearms are also .
At the same time the Laminas sidearms must be pointed lower , so they must be bended at dish side .
No point with a CM there the arms are attached to the side of the dish and can turn a bit .
Thats a unsure point for me , do the arms stuck some part inside the dish ?
Can someone show me a picture of that hole and messure how deep it is .
Another uncertain point is the focus line/lenght , it would be helpful when I know the A-B and B-C dimentions .

Hello Wim. I don't have the dish up at the moment and nor do I have a laser pointer (though need to ask the wife - she might!). Perhaps @Feedsat_DXer, @cardiff or @Milamber can take these measurements?

Here are some pictures of the side arm mounting holes. The hole itself is 8mm wide and is within a larger hole from both sides.
