So is the technomate positioner worth a shot? As my allsat positioner keeps miss counting. And as a result I have to allways move the dish manually with the L+R button.

And I have a similar problem to @John in finding the ka signals.
I find it better than the Superjack Chris

As I got some INOX (I know @st1 will laugh) material yesterday, so I started to make feedarm for Channel Master 1,2m. Of course this feedarm will be holding LNB-changing mechanism. Pipe is 40X15X2mm.

And, made another movie today, this time actually C-band signals also present. Yes, there is no feedhorn present on C-band LNB, but it is still possible to get 2 RUS channels from 11*W. System is working, and I am satisfied with it. @Trust1 gave me lots of inspiration in this project, thanks Trust! Some years ago I thought that fixed systems are the best, but now I've changed my mind and think that fixed system + movable one is the proper way to go.

Sofa is not mine, it is too bulky, and I do not really like it. However, I like the material sofa is made of, it is like INOX but only soft o_O. I mean, leather is very good, natural and durable material.

Thinking little bit outside the box (or inside the box in this case), why not place turning axis inside the feedarm (circled red)? 12mm pipe perfectly fits inside tube with almost no play.

I'll buy that idea Rimantss, alter the box section ends to incorporate a bearing or sleeve of some sort on the end cap ??. Yep, nice one.

I have pipe with inner diameter 12mm, so axis (12mm pipe) goes perfectly inside. Simple bearing and works OK.

New design is ready (unfortunately it is raining to install). Also simplified turning disc little bit.

OK, I think I am finished with this, at leas by now and at least for this dish. Maybe only some screws will be changed to those I've ordered from e-bay last night. Later on will probably do the same changer to bigger dish/dishes, but changer's design will be more or less same, just longer feedarm. VIDEO

Beautiful job. Is there no way you could have got the feed cable to run inside the box section as well Rimantss ? that would be the icing on the cake. :-clap

I was thinking about that, in fact I think it is possible, I just need ~30mm crown-drill. Will probably look for such a diameter and drill a hole someday.

Actually, I have already tried to lead coax through feedarm- drilled several 12mm holes (circled red) but that was not easy to pull cable in.

.... and soooo much tidier, i like it i like it.
I need a couple of the octopus discs as soon as Trust has time.
One is already made !
Scopus was asking for a spare Technirotor thats on the changer , the german company dont send international .
I let it send to my sister in Goch (germany) , if you (and others) like them and want one , I can order them and send them in batch to one of you .

Hi Wim, spoke to Chris (scopus) earlier about it ..... Yes would you send me a TechniRotor please with the same stuff thats going to Chris's address please. If you could send me one octopus disc for the time being in the same package that would be great. The disc only needs the centre hole drilling and nothing else. Just let Chris know how much i owe you for the items. Many thanks.

@satkingdom Do you asking Mr. Archived-1? He was only looking at making one but never made and we will never know that as he left the forum. Motors usually require additional wires to be placed from receiver to antenna. In case of DiseqC motor, it can be operated via same coax cable which goes to LNB.
