The MBC HD channels were on air on the 30th and 31st of May. Currently only the frequency is there. Below are snap shots of MBC 2 HD and the MBC package on Nilesat 201.
The current test frequency is 12188 H SR 27500 FEC 3/4 DVBS2 /8PSK

Below is a statement posted on Thursday 02 June 2011 from Nilesat Org.

A Senior Engineer in Egyptian Satellites (NileSat) Salah Hamza said that the company has signed a contract with MBC group in order to broadcast a number of its channels on the new satellite NileSat 201.


He added that, such move comes in the framework of a plan to transfer channels from NileSat 101 to the new satellite, which its occupancy reached 50%.


He asserted that, NileSat 201 new contracts would contribute significantly on enhancing company's performance by year end.


It is worth noting that, company's financial results showed a net profit of $ 30.8 million, compared to a net profit of $ 36.980 million in 2009 representing a decline of 16.7 %.


From the above statement from Nilesat org, it seems some channels will soon be migrating from nilesat 101 to nilesat 201.....

Blind scan looks painfully slow on that receiver. 10.950 to 11.115 in 1 MHz steps took 15 minutes. Maybe it's not hardware blind scan. I'm trying to find something with fast blind scan of DVB-S2. The ET9000 is looking good at the moment. And for spectrum, when I want it, I just plug in my meter on a splitter with a D.C. blocker (I'm going to get an SPS instead for this).

May I suggest changing your dish position. I mean to move it round, or backward or forward if it's possible. It will help you to find the channels you want.

If you move it around to my house it will definitely pick up the channels you want, but you might need a few signal boosters on the co-ax run.
